ResponsibilitiesPrimarily accountable for the performance of construction activities on an assigned jobsite.Responsible for all project mobilization activities, including lump sum material buyouts, subcontractor procurement, day to day construction activities, and corporate representation.Maintain a sense of urgency with construction and transmit this urgency to the project team without compromising Expanse values of Safety and Craftsmanship.Promote a strong safety culture that is consistent with the Expanse Way.Promote a healthy team morale and offer encouragement to all members of the project teams.Promote mentoring and learning while maintaining production.Develop a professional relationship with the client site supervisors and inspectors and maintain it with excellent communication skills.Broadcast project goals and directives to the site team with the intent of motivating the workforce and providing reasonable goals for completion.Be aware of and monitor apprenticeship status and delegate work scopes that develop more versatile skillsets for apprenticed employees.Project ControlsResponsible to provide clear and detailed Daily Construction Reports (DCR’s) that are populated accurately with daily time, per diems, work description narratives, job numbers, issues narratives, equipment utilization and materials installed, subcontractor production and manhours, and all other data that is required.Attend the weekly Project Controls review meeting with the Project Director, Project Controls Lead, Project Engineer, and other support staff.Work closely with the estimation department and Project Controls prior to construction activities to understand the characteristics of a project, including lead times, specific material items, indirect expense allocations, performance metrics, WBS structure, project clarifications, scope inclusions/exclusions, estimated manpower, equipment, and schedules.Identify, initiate, and perform upon change order opportunities throughout a project until completion.Participate in internal kick-off meetings and after-action reviews of completed projects.Responsible to report on project manpower, scopes of work, schedule variations, and other project details.Provide support to the estimation team in change order formulation.Submit daily DCR’s to the appropriate administrative assistant or project controls personnel in a timely manner and be prepared to discuss time entry issues.Initiate RFI’s and communicate with the estimating department and Project Engineer.Learn the basis of the project metrics system and how it is used to monitor project progress, and understand project metrics including s-curves, earned value, histograms, and forecasts.Identify RFI’s and communicate to the Project Engineer and General Superintendent.SchedulingAccurately capture scheduling events, construction events, and client directives on the daily DCR.Monitor project delays and communicate these delays to Project Controls/Project Engineers using DCR and delay register.Interpret Expanse, client, and subcontractor schedules to monitor for schedule lag and potential change orders.Lead the formulation of the 3-week lookahead schedule, and when finalized, distribute to the site team, management, and client.Participate in schedule development and updates.Understand and use project schedules to plan work and identify delays.Identify general project schedule lag and remediate using change orders, schedule extensions, resource allocation, and other administrative means to ensure the timely, and profitable completion of projects.Report variations, delays, and identify schedule risks and opportunities.Understand impacts of schedule delays and take the appropriate action to mitigate.OperationsOrganize and develop subordinate roles for each project to maximize both safety and production.Provide labor forecasting for the project as required by the Project Controls System.Initiate manpower requests to general superintendent.Initiate promotions/demotions through dialogue with the General Superintendent.Communicate all project resource requirements such as manpower, equipment, and materials with the General Superintendent.Inspect project equipment and initiate repairs or replacement to limit downtime.Client ManagementRepresent Expanse as the lead on site to interact with the client site supervision and inspectors.Attend client meetings.Ensure all communication with client is documented, review minutes of meetings, and participate in Kick Off Meetings.ProcurementResponsible for material requisitions as per the project schedule and budget.Procure and efficiently maintain project materials/inventories per directives and budget, responsible for material receiving, and reporting overage, shortage, and damaged (OS&D) materials.Submit all required documentation and approval requests to onboard subcontractors, track and report subcontractor progress.QA / QCPromote a culture of quality construction and methodologies that limit punch list and rework, with full accountability for quality documentation and implementation of Expanse quality control policies, inspections, and testing procedures. Maintain the documentation of quality checklists and inspections for reference.Develop redlines, perform quality inspections.SafetyCoordinate daily and weekly safety meetings for Expanse and subcontract employees.Exercise Stop it and Drop it – Expanse Stop Work program.Promote behavioral based safety systems (BBS).Coordinate with HSE personnel in providing the safest worksite possible.Promote continual adherence to corporate and client safety policies.COMPETENCIES/QUALIFICATIONSAcademic degree: High School Diploma / GED. College degrees are strongly considered regardless of major.State Issued Master Electrician or Contractor License. A highly skilled, licensed journeyman electrician will be considered for this position.Years of work experience: 10+ years in the electrical construction industry with documented experience in high value industrial electrical and instrumentation construction.Must be willing and able to travel to locations across the US.Demonstrate thorough knowledge of instrumentation and control systems for oil and gas operations including instrumentation, automation, and control systems.Knowledge of Solar, BESS, and wind turbine generators.Skills required:
