We are a true farm-to-table company with an integrated portfolio including food processing and food brands, phosphate mining, fertilizer manufacturing, farming, ranching and cattle production, and other enterprises related to agriculture.SummaryThe Senior Director Food Safety & Quality is a newly created role reporting directly to the VP Global Operations and a member of the Global Operations Leadership Team. This position will be accountable for leading the transformation of aligning Food Safety and Quality functions into one team for Global Food.The Senior Director Food Safety & Quality leads and directs the global Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory program to ensure that our products are safe, meet the regulatory requirements of the countries where they are consumed, are manufactured in accordance with ‘good manufacturing practices’ (GMP) and meet defined customer requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesAdaptively lead the transformation of the Food Safety & Quality ecosystem with the vision of creating an aligned, efficient and best-in-class global Food Safety & Quality function.Provide leadership relative to food safety excellence across a team of food safety and quality professionals, setting a culture of continuous improvement (providing guidance, training and performance management).Develop and align quality and food safety initiatives with the Global Food strategic objectives. Closely monitor and address regulatory, industry standards, technology and food safety developments that have the potential to disrupt our business.Develop and implement the standardization of best practices and global standards across our global footprint for Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory. This includes policies and principles, Quality Systems infrastructure, food safety culture, program effectiveness and continuous improvement principles with the core objective of delivering sustainable value to internal and external customers.Build and maintain credible relationships internally (engage and interact with senior leaders, work collaboratively across the organization, act as primary contact and subject matter expert) and externally (participation in regulatory, governance, academic, technical and trade association bodies as required).Typical EducationBachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a 4-year college or university is required. Master's Degree (M.A. or M.S.) or equivalent, highly preferred.Experience DetailsProven experience leading across food safety and quality functions in a manufacturing environment. Experience leading large-scale change programs. Recognized as an expert in either food safety or quality and has broad-based knowledge across food safety, quality and regulatory.
