Vice President - Operations (Roofing)

The incumbent will plan, organize, direct, manage, motivate and set expectations for the Roofing manufacturing/operations/quality & process control functions, participate in the development of the Business strategy, and lead the team in operationalizing these strategies and achieving business objectives. Through manufacturing leadership, drive continuous improvement in operating performance to achieve world-class safety, the highest quality, service, productivity and the lowest cost position in the various market classes in which ROOFING competes while meeting safety, human resource and environmental responsibilities. The incumbent is responsible for establishing an engaging and customer-centric organization while still improving operational performance. It is the responsibility of the incumbent to ensure the development of Operations talent in order to create a strong pipeline for the future.Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and direction to Regional Ops Directors, Plant Managers & Operations teams, Quality & Warranty Director set performance expectations/goals, determine measurement and accountability for Regional Ops Directors and other supervised functions. Provide necessary coaching and mentoring to develop both technical and managerial skills. Create a strong talent pipeline for the future.Develop and implement the annual manufacturing & CAPEX budget and operating plan for the assigned plants, and define annual operating metrics and improvement targets (i.e., KPIs). Deliver and drive budgeted results.Collaborate with the Engineering & WCM Director to set improvement objectives and drive plant Lean Six Sigma, WCM, Kaizen and 5S agenda/project definition and tracking of improvement in safety, quality, service, operating performance, productivity and costs.Provide leadership, direction & coaching to the Safety Director. Promote and monitor Roofing, Glass Mat and Granules safety initiatives and behaviors with the objective of reaching and maintaining world-class safety performance across all facilities. Coordinate and monitor environmental and health initiatives ensuring compliance with regulations and delivering on our improvement goals.Provide leadership & direction with Quality & Warranty director to reinforce processes, systems and production methods that ensure first pass quality, design for quality and manufacturability, operator-led QA/QC and eliminate warranty claims. Embed root cause discipline when manufacturing defects are identified post-sale.Assure compliance of all Operations activities with company policy and Federal, State and Local regulations while maintaining strict compliance with Saint-Gobain Principles of Conduct.Promote TEC culture and create a strong team environment that fosters company values. Foster teamwork and collaboration across all sites/functions to achieve alignment, and focused results through an engaged workforce.Build professional relationships with customers and sales personnel to better understand market concerns and customer requirements.Minimum Requirements:
