Hybrid or RemoteABOUT THE JOBThe Tepa Companies are seeking a Senior Project Manager to manage small to large-scale environmental planning and conservation projects for various federal agencies.
Projects may include project assessments, alternative development, and document preparation for federal clients IAW the National Environmental Policy Act and various implementing regulations and policies.
Projects may also include fence-to-fence environmental compliance efforts, natural or cultural resource plans or investigations, hazardous material investigations, or other environmental studies or planning efforts.Job Functions:Ensures Tepa Core Values are being practiced by all Tepa staff.Manages multiple environmental remediation, compliance, investigation, and technical support projects for Department of Defense (DoD) or other Federal government clients.Provides daily direct project support to DoD and Federal government clients.Manages concurrent project schedules and budgets.Manages the project and its execution from proposal through closeout.Facilitates the planning and performance of project scope, goals, and deliverables.Manages every aspect of the project management process including securing consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and specialty contractors.Develops work plans and manages project staffing.Leads the project team and tracks project progress.Plans, schedules, and manages project timelines to ensure deadlines are met.Develops and presents reports and presentations defining project progress, challenges, and solutions for clientsOversees deliverable quality control.Performs budget development and forecasting including estimates to complete, accounting for remaining risks.Maintains continuous communication with the project team and senior management, resolving challenges.Works with technical, Proposal Management, and Business Development staff to support proposal development.Writes Technical Approaches and other proposal documents as required.Works with Leadership Team and staff to ensure Tepa Employees are being treated fairly and their concerns are being addressed.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORBachelor's degree in geology, engineering, environmental sciences, or a related field. Master's degree in a similar field preferredLicensed Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) preferredMinimum of 10 years of environmental project management experience to include remediation, compliance, investigations and/or restorationCapability of overseeing multiple projects simultaneouslyDemonstrated understanding of project financialsAbility and desire to build rapport with field staff, office staff, clientele, Tepa management staff, subcontractorsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal, logical thinking, and problem-solving skillsAbility to perform at a high level under stringent project deadlinesAbility to prioritize required tasks to meet multiple schedule deadlinesAwareness of potential clients, competition, and teaming partnersStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Word and ExcelDedicated attention to detailPreferred, not required:Federal and DoD project management experienceExperience managing projects over $5M in valuePMP or other project management-related certificationsKnowledge of Federal Acquisition RegulationFamiliarity with Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC), Formerly Used Defense Sites (FUDS) programs and Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC), and United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) clients
