Student Engagement Coordinator

The purpose of this role is to develop the academic and extracurricular experiences of students at the Los Angeles Film School by facilitating student engagement initiatives and supporting communication from Student Advising to the student body. The role also involves maintaining operational efficiency within the Student Advising Hub, ensuring students receive timely and relevant assistance to navigate their academic journey effectively. This employee is in charge of the administrative needs of the Student Advising Department which allows academic coaches to focus on academic advisement and the Manager of Student Advising to focus on managerial tasks.Essential Duties & Responsibilities
(those that must be performed with or without an ADA Accommodation):Assists in the planning and execution of student programming initiatives that promote academic and extracurricular engagement.Curates the Student Affairs Newsletter, ensuring relevant updates and resources are communicated effectively to the student body.Coordinates and oversees the graduate audit program, ensuring timely and accurate scheduling of audited courses.Greets incoming traffic, schedules appointments, answers the main phone line.Refers students to the appropriate school official/department and answers basic questions relating to student success procedures.Organizes, coordinates and/or participates in various student activities such as showings of student projects, student appreciation events, graduations and interactive activities between students and staff.Maintains the integrity of the Los Angeles Film School's policies and procedures.Assists with student outreach in the absence of the assigned academic coach.Updates and maintains various academic trackers.Manages the daily operations of the Student Advising Hub.Non-Essential Duties & Responsibilities
