**This posting will be used to fill multiple vacancies.**JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSEAccountable for managing capital projects with cost and schedule accuracy in alignment with the stage gate process. Manages a portfolio of typically $15M to $50M. Identifies, manages, and mitigates project risks. Manages the development and delivery of capital projects while focusing on the achievement of project cost and schedule objectives, as well as excellence in project safety and quality. Provides direct management and support to Project Team members throughout the project lifecycle. Strong team leader to drive project repeatability in the execution of all work within the portfolio. Maintains the single point of accountability to project success.JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIESPromotes safe behavior and adherence to the safety rules on the project. Leads the project team to establish leading indicators and proactive requirements to ensure safety is considered in all aspects of design and implementation for contractors, Entergy project team members, and the end user. Ensures contract scope of work includes safety deliverables/requirements as needed.Defines the project organization structure required for the project and identifies the technical skills required to achieve project goals. Works with the appropriate Entergy management for assignment of appropriately skilled individuals to the Project Team. Prepares contract and approves requisitions, change orders, etc., and processes invoices.Leads the project team to develop and execute projects in accordance with the applicable corporate standards, guidelines, policies, and processes. Ensures that team members fulfill their responsibilities as required of their roles. Navigates the project through associated deliverables (estimates, schedules, gates, deliverables, etc.). Oversees the project team in the development of project deliverables. Coordinates the activities of project stakeholders and working groups engaged in project work.Develops and maintains the Project Execution Plan and executes the project in adherence with this plan. Establishes and maintains project documentation. Coordinates the efforts of all project participants, including consultants and contractors. Ensures previous projects' Lessons Learned and applicable industry experience are incorporated into the project execution plan. Manages the project in line with the project budget. Ensures project controls are implemented for effectively managing project scope, schedule, quality, cost, cash flow, risk, contracts, and communications in accordance with the applicable corporate standards.Provides clear, timely, and accurate project status reports for management. Prepares reports and presentations to management.Prepares and issues status reports as needed. Identifies, makes timely decisions, and takes prompt action on project issues that could impact project performance. Promptly communicates issues to the next level of leadership that are outside the authority or capability to resolve.Coordinates with all functional departments as required to achieve the requirements of the applicable corporate standards and to achieve project budget and timeline.Monitors contractor performance in the area of project safety, schedule, cost, quality of work, and compliance with contractual requirements.Delivers projects with cost and schedule accuracy; manages and controls costs; manages risk by identifying and mitigating risks.Provides leadership, oversight, and coordination to various internal and external organizations providing services for distribution and transmission projects.Develops and structures project-related contracts; maintains close contact with the customer; and produces customer deliverables.Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to distribution and transmission engineering, Right of Way, and construction suppliers.Conducts design and constructability reviews; performs baseline scheduling, cost estimating, and purchasing functions.Participates in developing a detailed construction plan, which includes a list of outages, exact work dates, and construction resource requirements.Coordinates and participates in field scoping visits.Works with supply chain for the procurement of major materials, participates on buyers team, and vendor selection.Responsible for interfacing with all local, state, and federal regulatory agencies regarding specific project needs where appropriate.Reviews bid package/RFP developed by Construction Engineer.Attends pre-bid meetings with contractors.Reviews vendor bid proposals and participates in vendor selection.Ensures contract scope of work includes safety deliverables as needed.Makes recommendations to Manager and Supply Chain to issue contract.Fulfills role as the 'Contract Manager' or the 'Owner's Representative' as defined in the project contract. Administrates the contract and issues formal correspondence to Contractors in accordance with corporate standards and guidelines.Work is performed in both an office setting and in field conditions.Bachelor's degree: Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field OR 4 years of equivalent/related work experience in lieu of degree.Preferred: Advanced Degree Preferred - MBA, Masters in Engineering, Construction, Project Management.8 years of experience in Project Management, Construction Management, Electric Utility Industry, or related field.Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities:Ability to work effectively both independently and in a matrix environment.Demonstrated cross-functional project leadership experience, team performance skills, service mindset approach, and the ability to act as a trusted advisor.Expert in project and construction management fundamentals.Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology to transmission lines and substations.History of safe performance, active safety involvement, and a strong desire for a safer workplace.Experience in new ROW acquisition procedures for new line construction.Strong leadership, negotiation, analytical, interpersonal & group communication skills.Knowledge of Distribution Line, Transmission Line, or Substation Design Standards and Construction & Maintenance practices.Experienced in project management and engineering tools such as Maximo, PowerPlan, Primavera, GDT, and AM/FM.Detail-oriented and possess excellent organizational skills.Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and project management applications, processes, software, and equipment.Understanding of Industry Best Practices.Must be an excellent verbal and written communicator.In-depth understanding of utility regulation and RFPs.Knowledge of Effective Estimating Practices.Preferred: PMP (Project Management Professional certification).Preferred: Advanced Degree.Other Attributes:Functional Knowledge:
