Job Description SummaryThe Manager, Value Stream demonstrates proficiency in matrix leadership and responsibility for end-to-end oversight of a product value stream (Novartis or client). Incumbent supports the management of stakeholders during the routine manufacturing of internal (Novartis) or external (client) cell therapy products at the Morris Plains site. This is an onsite position at our Morris Plains site.Job DescriptionEnsures a customer centric mindset throughout the organization and drives implementation of customer focused solutions.Gathers & reports the appropriate KPIs to inform key stakeholders on the process performance, ensures understanding of measured KPIs.Works with the respective key stakeholders to ensure routine manufacturing and testing of products in accordance with approved Manufacturing Supply Agreement & Quality Agreement.Ensures timely information/document sharing with the client to avoid delays in product release.Acts as the single point of contact for Morris Plains for the value stream.Defines needs and priorities of the value stream and collaborates with other value streams to prioritize and negotiate trade-offs.Drives two-way communication between key site functions and Global Novartis stakeholders or CMO Client stakeholders.Represents value stream products and clients at capacity planning and S&OP forums.Accountable for lifecycle management of products in the value stream including clinical production, commercialization, growth, and sunset.Works with site leaders to set site strategy for products in the value stream and responds quickly to client needs, prioritizing the client.Minimum RequirementsMinimum of 5-7 years of experience in production operations, ideally in a Biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, CMO, or chemical manufacturing environment.Experience leading or working in a matrix organization.Experience and/or certification in Lean Six Sigma strongly desirable.Technical expertise combined with a savvy working relationship with internal and external customers.Salary RangeThe pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $112,800 and $169,200 Annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
