Brand Development Representative - Beer, Wine, & Spirits (The Odom Corporation)
Salary Range is currently $55,000 - $60,000• Up to 128 hours of PTO• 9 Paid Holidays• Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits• 401(k) with Employer matchJob DescriptionThis position is responsible for the development of brand-specific suppliers and the growth of the brand portfolio within an assigned territory. This involves close collaboration with local sales teams and managers to build strong relationships with retailers, suppliers, and internal teams. Key responsibilities include supporting supplier strategies, expanding market share, and improving brand visibility. The position requires tracking performance, analyzing trends, and identifying new growth opportunities. Success depends on effective communication, strong relationship-building, and aligning strategies to achieve business goals.Essential Duties & Responsibilities
include but are not limited to:Know the local retail market and build positive relationships with retailers, suppliers, and internal teams to grow market share of supplier brands.Communicate consistently and clearly with sales and management teams, providing updates, feedback, recaps, and relevant information.Respond to supplier inquiries and market requests in a timely manner.Communicate presell commitments to suppliers and ensure execution upon product arrival.Work On & Off Premise to drive sales volume, secure new distribution, gain shelf space, and improve point-of-sale visibility for specific brands.Collaborate with supplier reps to gain new distribution and shelf placements in the marketplace.Develop and execute daily/weekly pre-plans and follow up on successes with sales managers and suppliers.Attend all sales meetings as directed by management.Assist with other tasks as assigned by the supervisor to support the growth of the specific brand in the market.Job RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED certificate. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.Minimum (1) year sales experience or (2) years merchandising in beverage industry preferred.Must be 21 years or older and have valid driver’s license.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Self-Motivated and high energy level to be able to handle a fast-changing environment.Ability to set priorities, highly organized and attentive to detail.Possess high customer service skills and ability to work with others in a positive manner to resolve issues in a professional manner.Ability to work in a team environment, have strong communication/interpersonal skills, have a positive team player attitude and be coachable.Be willing to work flexible hours if needed to include nights, weekends and sometimes during holidays.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
