Our Client is a world leading Lifting company serving a broad range of customers, including manufacturing industries, shipyards, ports and terminals. Our client is looking for a 2nd Shift CNC Machinist to join their growing team. In this role, you will operate one of several machines, including but not limited to CNC lathes, or CNC machining centers for production of products including shafts, wheels, pinions/gears, drums, sheaves, and related machined crane components.
Job Requirements
Principal Responsibilities:
-CNC lathe, or CNC machining centers to make required machining operations-Ability to read and interpret part drawings to ensure proper dimensions of machined specifications-Notes, reports, and corrects variations in routing sequence-Keeps supervisors aware of pertinent issues, information, etc. warranting supervisors knowledge, action and/or resolution.-Ensures proper, accurate records, files, databases, etc. are maintained, as required, within areas of responsibility.-Maintain tooling.-Ensure proper inspection, i.e. first piece inspection(s) are performed and makes adjustments as required.-Perform functions in a timely, safe, and cost-effective manner.-Ensure work area is kept clean and safe.-Perform preventative maintenance.-Maintains a flexible, cooperative, team oriented, and customer focused attitude.-Setup capabilities is a plus.
Education:
-High school diploma or equivalent.
