Description

Vari is looking for a Video Content Creator with a passion for storytelling to create, concept, shoot, and edit videos to support our brand and product communications. The Video Content Creator will be highly skilled in videography, editing, and photography (as needed) through shooting and editing narrative-style videos and series, social media video clips, product-focused videos, and digital video ads.

The ideal candidate is a multi-disciplined creator and self-starter - someone who can edit, shoot, color grade, sound mix and effectively manage associated project assets. The Video Content Creator will have strong camera operation skills, an eye for principal photography, storytelling mastery, and editing capabilities. This individual will be able to work concurrently on projects in addition to acting quickly against day-to-day execution video pieces. This position will report to the Creative Director.

Responsibilities

Plan, shoot, and edit videos for various purposes, such as social media, marketing campaigns, and internal communications.Collaborate with the creative team to conceptualize and storyboard video projects.Operate and maintain video equipment, including cameras, lighting, and sound equipment.Capture high-quality footage and ensure proper framing, lighting, and audio quality.Edit and post-process videos using video editing software, adding effects, music, and other enhancements as needed.Work with the social media team to determine content needs, manage the production calendar, and organize video shoot schedules.Posting video to Vimeo, YouTube, and other outlets after adding engaging titles, thumbnails, descriptions, and relevant keywords to help drive organic traffic.Research and development of content ideas based on market trends and competitive landscape.Communicate and execute all assignments in task management software ClickUpKeep content organized and accessible to company in Dropbox and backed up to external storage.Simultaneously work on various phases of multiple projects during the production and post-production processes.Directs the production team and talent during filming and ensures all required shots are captured.Assists in creating delivery timelines for videos and scoping project needs.Create multiple weekly pieces of engaging content for all social media platformsRequirements

An online portfolio or reel of high-quality video projects.3 - 5 years working as a videographer, video editor, content creator, and/or experience working on a professional video set.Associate or bachelor's degree in video production or equivalent certification.High-level operational knowledge of DSLR and digital cinema cameras and strong lighting skills.Mastery of Adobe Creative suite - especially Premier Pro, After Effects and PhotoshopHighly organized with the capacity to work on multiple projects at the same timeExperience shooting and editing for social media platforms including Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, Vimeo, and Instagram using desired social sizes (16:9, 1:1, 4:5, 9:16)Ability to travel if needs arise to work on location, guiding sound, visual, light, and content quality.Experience with 3D software, drone operation and/or drone certification is a plus.
