Job Type Full-timeDescriptionEssential Duties and Responsibilities: Must be able to weld GTAW including GMAW/FCAW and/or SAW5 years of experience a plusWelds all types of pressure containing steel vessels using drawings, specifications and industry standards. Reads drawings and (WPS) welding procedure specifications to determine appropriate welding process required. Ability to fit complicated piping and structural assemblies.Welds carbon and stainless steel. Ensure that quality process and procedures are followedMust be available to work offshore or offsite as required. Completes required documentation, including but not limited to: daily progress reports, service tickets, test reports, failed test reports and Non-Conformance ReportsUnderstands and follows oral and written instructions in english. Liaise with clients as required offshore.Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all departments and workers. Domestic and international travel required.Performs other tasks and duties as requiredEducation and Experience: High school education (GED) Currently eligible to work in the United States. Have current US passportCurrent COVID vaccine with proof cardOffshore safety and certifications requiredBackground Check required.RequirementsJob Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication skills and ability to work harmoniously on multifunction teams; Ability to balance customer demands against company constraints;Impeccable reputation and high ethical standards;Self-motivated and willing to take initiative with limited directionMust have knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a vessel fabricating and welding shop. Must be familiar with Safety and OSHA requirements within a welding environment and offshore. Weld to AWS and ASME code and 100% x-ray. Welders must pass 6G Position Test using GMAW/FCAW plus GTAW and a SAW test. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings & BOMs, P&IDs; and all written engineering procedures.Ability to use a computer and Windows Office software.Supervisory and Leadership Responsibilities: Occasional supervisory roles when working offsite.Physical Demands: Physical requirements are those typically found in an welding shop and offshore environment. Must be able to pass an Offshore fit for duty physicalPersonal Protective Equipment: Safety glasses, steel toe boots and other PPE as required by work location. Location and Work Environment: This position is located in Houston.Offsite and Offshore work locations are global.
