Responsibilities:Primarily responsible for assisting the HR Manager as needed in most functional areas of HR, including but not limited to recruiting CDL A Truck drivers and Logistics team members.Lead and execute the full-cycle recruitment process for truck drivers, from sourcing and screening to interviewing and onboarding.Assists with I-9 preparation as needed.Develop and maintain strong relationships with driver candidates prior to and after hiring, ensuring a positive candidate experience.Create an environment of positive employee relations and open communication.Attend and participate actively in various team meetingsAssist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of human resources policies and procedures.Manage employee relations issues in collaboration with the HR Manager to achieve prompt and appropriate resolutions.Investigate employee relation matters and provide guidance to employees and managers on best practices.Support supervisors and managers in developing job descriptions and ensuring alignment with operational strategies.Maintain the HRIS system (Oracle HCM), including compensation, hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, and disciplinary records.Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation.Conduct exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations and collaborate with managers for continuous improvement.Assess and track FMLA requests for employees.Perform administrative and clerical duties related to maintaining HR files, resource documents, reports, records, programs, and processes.Generate and evaluate reports concerning HR and recruitment metrics.Perform other duties as assigned to support the HR and recruitment functions.Qualifications:Education (Degree/Major): Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experienceWork Experience: A preferred background of 3-5 years in Human Resources Generalist roles, with a preference for those with experience in the trucking industry.Payroll experience a plusExperience with Oracle HCM a plusMust be able to maintain confidentialityDemonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environmentAbility to build trusting relationshipsAbility to travel less than 5% a year may be required for occasional team meetings or events.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.Please note that this job description is not exhaustive, and additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
