Position Overview:
As a Security Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's information security architecture. You will be responsible for developing and implementing security solutions that protect the organization's systems, networks, and data from potential threats. Additionally, you will collaborate with other IT professionals and stakeholders to ensure that security measures are integrated seamlessly into the overall technology infrastructure.
Essential Functions, Duties & Accountabilities:
Security Design and Planning
Develop and implement comprehensive security architectures that address the organization's current and future security needs.Evaluate and assess existing security systems to identify vulnerabilities and recommend enhancements.Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate security measures into the overall IT architecture.Participate in project work and perform security specific project tasks related to MS365/O365 and MS Azure environments.Risk Assessment
Conduct risk assessments to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities.Provide recommendations for risk mitigation and risk management strategies.Security Policies and Procedures
Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.Security Technology Evaluation
Research and evaluate emerging security technologies to stay abreast of industry trends.Make recommendations for the adoption of new security technologies based on their effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals.Incident Response and Management
Develop and maintain incident response plans.Lead or participate in the investigation and resolution of security incidents.Security Awareness and Training
Provide guidance and training to employees on security best practices.Foster a culture of security awareness within the organization.Collaboration and Communication
Work closely with IT teams, management, and other stakeholders to communicate security risks and solutions effectively.Participate in cross-functional teams to address security-related issues.Coordinate with Infrastructure teams to review and approve design and installation requirements for LANs, WANs, VPNs, firewalls, routers, and related network devices.Provide IT leadership with financial information as it relates to budget planning for security solutions.Documentation
Maintain comprehensive documentation of security architectures, policies, and procedures.Ensure that documentation is kept up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.Additional Functions, Duties & Accountabilities:
Serve as a member of the Information Technology team and support others as necessary.Act as a mentor and train users in implementing and supporting security solutions.Maintain flexibility in work schedule to meet business needs.Actively and positively contribute to the overall success of the company through regular contributions to the general management of the company.Participate and provide leadership in inter-departmental meetings, projects and informal activities.Support the company and other departments wherever and whenever your skills and experience would be beneficial.Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's or master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.Required Experience and Skills:
7+ years of experience in information security with a focus on architecture.Industry-recognized certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) or CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) are preferred.In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and best practices.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Proven success in effectively managing multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver actionable digital technology solutions.Experience managing concurrent projects; adeptness in prioritization and resource allocation amid evolving conditions.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.Travel:
