family of companies, for a Territory Sales Manager position in Southern Illinois/Southeast Missouri.
This is a salaried position with a complete benefit package reporting to the Regional Sales Manager.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Work with Regional Sales Manager to identify open markets and set up appropriate distributionWork directly with livestock producers to prospect business through feed trials, nutrition formulation utilizing Dalex, and feed management support.Increase sales of all KNG products through the Dealer channel and Direct Livestock ProducerIncrease profitability of the assigned territory for KNGProvide support and direction to Territory Accounts for;
Technical support at the producer and dealer levelFeed formulation support; DalexPromotion PlanningDealer Net and Dealer Club Review and SupportNew Product IntroductionsProduct training and supportMerchandising AssistanceUp selling and add-on salesConsumer Seminars to educate consumers and build brand and product awarenessEnd -User field calls as needed to grow the businessWork with Regional Sales Manager to identify open markets and set up appropriate distribution
Call on accounts weekly to monthly based on determining factorsTravel in territory is 75-80% of the roleWeekly use of Saleslogix to communicate all account activityAccountable for tracking tonnage, division results and promotion sign-upsEDUCATION:
BS degree in Animal Science or Ag related business degreeEXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
3 - 4 years of related work experience1-2 years beef industry experience preferredNutrition, formulating, on farm experience absolutely requiredProven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlinesStrong results-orientated and goal motivated team playerExcellent skills in the following: organizational, detail-oriented, written and verbal communication skills and merchandising experienceAbility to focus on predetermined directionProficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPointRation Balancing Programs.TRAVEL:
85% Visiting Dealerships in the territory, calling on end users in the territory, trade shows, sales blitzes, and sales meetings15% - office
