Danfoss Turbocor is looking for an Application Engineer to join our sales team. This position provides engineering-level technical support to successfully integrate Turbocor compressors into chillers and other vapor compressor cooling systems. Application Engineers will interface with the Turbocor engineering team, OEM design professionals, and Key Account Managers. They will also work closely with the Product Management, Technical Service, and Quality teams to promote, develop, and support Danfoss Turbocor products.Provide expert centrifugal oil-free centrifugal compressor integration and control expertise for chiller, refrigeration, and heat pump systems. Problem-solving skills supported by strong communication and interpersonal skills are required to improve the operation and efficiency of Turbocor-based systems.Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:Interface directly with OEM design professionals to seamlessly integrate Turbocor compressors into their products' mechanical, electrical, and control systems.Travel to OEMs to provide application training, prototype testing support, qualification, product promotion, and system troubleshooting services.Serve as the primary technical interface between the Danfoss Turbocor Engineering functions and the OEM technical support team.Participate in and evaluate OEM customer equipment field startups and communicate findings and recommendations in written report format.Understand and comply with quality policies, procedures, and instructions to ensure product quality, customer satisfaction, attainment of business goals, and environmental well-being.Create product technical documentation for design, application, and bulletins.Develop detailed technical reports to communicate both externally and intracompany.Background & Skills
QUALIFICATIONS:Experience in refrigeration system design and cycle analysis.Knowledge of refrigerant properties and PH diagram analysis.Experience and expertise in reading, interpreting, and creating PID diagrams.Experience in creating effective control logic, sequences of operation, and programming for multi-purpose PLC (Siemens, Carel, Danfoss MCX, or other).Basic knowledge of common electronic controls integration protocols including but not limited to Modbus, RS232, RS485, and CAN bus.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical-related degree.Strong interpersonal and both verbal and written communication skills.Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills and experience with advanced capability in Excel.5 years of industry experience and deep technical knowledge of centrifugal chiller, screw chiller, or related industrial equipment.OTHER IMPORTANT CHARACTERISTICS:Customer focused.Team Player.Organized multi-tasker.Capable of operating independently with little direct supervision.Employee Benefits
