Job Description:
Aeyon is currently seeking an expert in Navy ERP systems, DoD and/or DON financial system migrations to support the Department of the Navy’s (DON) migration of all active non-classified legacy General Ledger (GL) systems to the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) SAP system. Provides deep subject-matter expertise and interacts with the government primarily at the SES and Flag Officer level. Solve the highly complex technical problems of critical importance to the organization's technical direction. Recognized as a top expert and thought leader in the field, lead development and implementation of key technologies for the organization. Plays a role in overall functional strategic planning.
Additional duties include implementing business solutions in support of transformation initiatives including audit response, audit remediation, internal controls, financial processes, and/or accounting in accordance with General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or Statements of Federal Financial Accounting Standards (SFFAS) and/or relevant Office of Management and Budget (OMB) policies for State or Federal Government agencies or large, complex companies (greater than 1,000 employees). Functional Responsibility:
Recognized expert in financial management, business systems, accounting, human capital, innovation field, or other relevant subject. Provides deep subject-matter expertise and interacts with the government primarily at the SES and Flag Officer level.
Labor Category Duties:
Familiarity with DON processes and procedures preferred.
Familiarity with DON financial systems and feeder systems.
Experience with and understanding of applicable US General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for Federal Agencies and authoritative sources (e.g., FASAB, OMB Circulars, GAO Handbooks, Treasury Financial Manual, etc.).
Experience / Capacity to Validate large financial datasets / transactions from Financial / Feeder Systems to General Ledger System.
Independently apply functional and technical knowledge and skills to implement business solutions in support of the client migration to Navy ERP.
Work with BSO clients and other Key Stakeholders to identify Process changes and perform gap analysis.
Provide thought leadership, to identify, correct, and standardize business processes post-migration.
Provide Change Management support to the affected BSO and system users for Business Processes that will require change as a result of error identification and root cause analysis.
Create, revise, and deliver as necessary core Navy ERP Suite Training.
Work with the Navy ERP Sustainment team to identify additional/update training.
Deliver on-demand training, as needed, and as identified and approved by the client to close any training gaps.
Develop job aids in cooperation with other Navy ERP support teams.
Design and implement data collection, validation, enrichment, and correction process to be used in BSO client’s post-migration environment.
Communicate complex analytical concepts in a concise, easy-to-understand manner to senior leaders.
Define and scope vague problems; and turn them into successful analytical projects with little guidance.
Serve on a team; communicate with organizations and establish positive working relationships.
Maintain proficiency in the MS Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Analyze unmatched transactions and disbursements and perform data cleansing and clearing actions.
Extract data via reporting tools, analyze data, and report or track the data as needed using Microsoft applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.).
Experience Requirements:
Fifteen (15) years of relevant experience. An additional two (2) years of relevant experience may substitute for the minimum education requirement.
