The location is south of Marion, Illinois at the Lake of Egypt.Position OverviewWe are seeking a motivated Cyber Security Technician to join our Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) teams. This candidate will work with IT, OT, and engineering personnel to ensure regulatory compliance with applicable North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) standards and eventually act as a subject matter expert (SME) for both internal and external audits. This candidate will maintain documentation, software, hardware, and network infrastructure, while ensuring secure, compliant, smooth, and efficient operations across the organization. The ideal candidate will be proactive in providing technical assistance to employees.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with all NERC CIP compliance-related tasks, such as preparing and maintaining policies, procedures, and evidence.Serve as an internal SME to ensure adherence to NERC CIP requirements.Assist with monitoring and managing security measures, including firewalls and data backups.Assist with the installation, configuration, and upgrading of hardware and software.Provide technical support to employees and troubleshooting issues as they arise.Monitor and maintain network performance while ensuring security and efficiency.QualificationsAssociate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required.Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.Spring 2025 bachelor’s graduates are encouraged to apply.Applicable industry certification such as Security+, CEH, or CISSP are a plus.Familiarity with NERC CIP standards and compliance is a plus.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Willingness to provide after-hours support as needed.
