Job Overview:
Seeking an experienced Senior Human Resources Generalist to join YFA's dynamic HR team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing various HR functions, such as Leave of Absence (LOA) management, oversight of external audits for YFA's funders/contracts, overseeing all employee relations, and supervising HR staff. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong time-management skills and in-depth understanding of HR policies and procedures.
Leave of Absence Management
Handle Workers' Compensation claimsManage FMLA requests and ensure complianceAdminister personal leaves of absenceFacilitate bereavement leave requestsCoordinate responses to jury duty requirementsOversee administration leave, unpaid and paidAudit Oversight and Record Keeping
POC for external audits for YFA funders and contractsEnsure compliance with Department of Children and Families/Department of Juvenile Justice (DCF/DJJ) requirementsMaintain accurate records of all employee changes, including terminations, new hires, position transfers, pay changes, and supervisor changesEmployee Relations and Recruitment
Handle Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) effectivelyManage corrective actions and terminations with professionalism and complianceResponsible for the oversight and timely processing of terminations and transfers within two business days of occurrenceAssist with for recruitment activities: advertising, recruiting, and attending job fairsCompliance and Other Duties as Assigned
POC for EEOC, Affirmative, ACHA compliance, Claims, and ReportsAssists the Human Resources Director with review and updating of HR policies, to include an annual review of the employee handbookSupervise Human Resources Generalists (HRG)Manage intranet site of HR pagePOC for external LMS sites DCF (My FL Learn) and DJJ (SkillPro)Conducts other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or managementLocation:

Schedule:
Hybrid schedule with 3 office days and 2 remote days upon completing training

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (required)Direct experience in Human Resources Department (required)Supervisory experience (preferred)HR certificate (preferred)Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 30 pounds, bend, stand and sit for extended periods of time. Travel on a local and regional basis required.
