CNC Machine Operator

**Job Title: CNC Machine Operator****Job Description**Set up, program, operate, or tend to computerized or manual woodworking machines, such as drill presses, lathes, shapers, routers, sanders, planers, or wood-nailing machines. Examine finished workpieces for smoothness, shape, angle, depth-of-cut, or conformity to specifications and verify dimensions, visually and using hands, rules, calipers, templates, or gauges. Start machines, adjust controls, and make trial cuts to ensure that machinery is operating properly.**Responsibilities**+ Set up, program, operate, or tend to computerized or manual woodworking machines.+ Examine finished workpieces for smoothness, shape, angle, depth-of-cut, or conformity to specifications.+ Verify dimensions using hands, rules, calipers, templates, or gauges.+ Start machines, adjust controls, and make trial cuts to ensure machinery operates properly.**Essential Skills**+ At least 1 year of CNC machine operation experience.+ At least 1 year of experience transferring programming from computer to CNC machine.+ At least 1 year of experience with CAD Drawings.+ Strong mechanical aptitude.+ Experience with tape measures, hand tools, assembly, power tools, and saw operation.**Additional Skills & Qualifications**+ Preferably someone with carpentry experience.**Why Work Here?**This is a 3-month contract-to-hire position with benefits upon becoming a permanent employee, including 401(k), 401(k) matching, dental insurance, health insurance, life insurance, paid time off, and vision insurance.**Work Environment**Large warehouse where store fixtures are built.
