Job DescriptionPosition Title: Human Resources GeneralistPosition Report To: Director, HR Operations & Talent AcquisitionPosition Summary:The HR Generalist provides support, guidance, and leadership within the HR function across all levels within the Apache organization. Works closely with corporate and field leadership to maintain a positive work environment and streamline workflow, process, and procedure. This role is responsible for developing positive employee relations and works with stakeholders to support various HR functions such as: employee relations, performance management, HR technology, policy interpretation, benefits, change management, learning, and development.Essential Functions+ Builds trust and creates relationships with all employees to proactively mitigate and resolve employee issues in partnership with corporate, regional, and field leadership teams.+ Acts as an escalation point for employee helpline calls and assists employees with logging into Apaches HRIS.+ An expert in HR systems by initiating and tracking business processes, including job changes, compensation adjustments, separations, and reporting. Provides guidance to managers and employees on completing transactions while ensuring data accuracy.+ Maintains HR compliance reporting and prepares data for audits such as EEO, state agency reporting, internal bid responses related to HR data, etc.+ Ensures company compliance with federal and state laws such as labor law posters, unemployment claims process, background checks, drug screening.+ Works with Corporate HR to drive the successful change management of HR initiatives and communicates/educates on HR guidelines and topics.+ Supports the development of regional and site leadership through coaching, leadership skills training, etc.+ Manages the onboarding process for the professional population including offer letter creation, employment screening, ordering equipment, entering employment details and partners with leadership to support new employees through the onboarding process.+ Assists in the creation and preparation of communications, spreadsheets, presentations, training materials, and other documents.+ Offers guidance to the HR Coordinator for verification of employment inquiries, unemployment claim process, and manages the relationship with vendors.+ Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvements and provides recommendations to HR leadership.+ Gathers feedback from employees and provides recommendations to leadership on improving the employee experience.+ Investigates employee concerns conducts interviews, summarizes notes and analyzes information to make recommendations for investigation outcomes to HR Partners and site leadership.+ Partners with operations and talent acquisition teams on hiring and onboarding, to identify recruitment needs.+ Supports talent acquisition with maintaining job postings, attending career fairs & community engagement events, pre-screening and sourcing top talent for the organization.+ Assists with the Employee Helpline and guides employees in the escalation of payroll and benefits issues and gives feedback to HR leadership on common issues/themes.+ Other duties as assigned.Education & Experience+ Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Communication, or a related field (preferred).+ 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources.+ Experience supporting a high volume of employees in industrial, construction, or commercial environments (preferred).+ Proficiency with an HRIS system, preferably Workday.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities+ Ability to build relationships and establish credibility with all employees.+ Fluent in Spanish (required).+ Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws and statutes, with the ability to apply them to real-life situations to mitigate company risk.+ Exercises sound judgment to make decisions with integrity, compliance, and compassion.+ Capable of guiding employees and leaders through employee relations and labor relations issues, with strong problem-solving and conflict management skills.+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).+ Demonstrates courage and takes initiative; results oriented.+ Ability to adapt quickly to change and make decisions in ambiguous situations.+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.Work Conditions/Physical Demands+ Ability to travel 30%-40% annually, nationwide.+ Ability to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.+ Light work, including the ability to move objects up to 20 pounds.+ No adverse environmental conditions expected.For over thirty years, Apache Industrial Services has met the needs of the petrochemical, industrial and energy sectors by providing superior quality, service and long-term value to our customers.
