The
Analytics Engineer
will join the R&M Data Ops team to continue our mission to enable advanced data analytics solutions for the Refining & Midstream business. This position will report to the Director, R&M Data and Ops, and be a recognized technical resource with a focus on designing & developing data models, MLOps, and data visualizations. This role works with business experts, data architects, and data analysts while using a combination of business strategy and technical data knowledge to translate complex information into analytics solutions for business users. The Analytics Engineer will be part of the team that supports the OT & IT analytics solutions.
Responsibilities May Include:Leverage understanding of data analysis principles and formulas to create effective, accurate, and concise models that communicate the information and meaning of a dataset.Showcase data modeling and aggregation skills to generate accurate models and communicate effectively through visual representations.Visualize data effectively and choose the right chart & visualization to display the key performance indicators.Communicate with data engineers, analysts, clients, and executives through both verbal communication and visual representations while ensuring that everybody on the team has the same information and understanding to create a consistent and effective result.Create a dev-ops pipeline and experience in agile methodologies.Develop, monitor, and implement governance, standards, and practices to enable P66 to have secure, sustainable, and reliable reporting and analytics.Required Qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in the job posting countryBachelor's degree1 or more years of IT or analytics-related experience1 or more years of experience working with cloud-based platforms in an enterprise environmentExperience in designing and building data models, and pipelines in leveraging Azure data platform (Azure Synapse, Databricks, Delta Lake, Lakehouse architecture)Expert in designing dashboards and reports in Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud, or TableauExperience in dev-ops and automation skills using Power PlatformIntegrate data from various IT and OT systems to support analytics and reportingPreferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant fieldExperience with SQL or Python programming languageStrong understanding of data warehousing techniquesExperience in cloud data platforms like Databricks, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and Power BICloud certifications (Power BI, Tableau, Azure Data Engineer, or SAP Analytics Cloud certification)Significant and relevant Oil & Gas or technical industry experience, especially downstreamExperience with pipeline, build/release, and CI/CD deployment of data pipelines (Azure DevOps, Git)Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills to effectively communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences, adjusting style to fit the target audience including multiple levels of managementTotal Rewards
