Position Summary
Develops, creates, and modifies embedded microcontroller software and digital/analog control systems. Modifies existing embedded software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, or improve its performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Leads the research, design, development and testing of software and embedded hardware. This includes development of new digital and analog control systems for mil/aero power supplies.Responsible for implementing modern software design principles, resolving complex technical hardware and software issues, and providing solutions which are innovative and ingenious.Participates in internal reviews of software components and hardware systems.Self-directed with limited oversight from immediate supervisorCollaborates with stakeholders in the Engineering and Production departmentsBuilds stable working relationshipsWorks on problems with defined scope, schedule, and expectationsFollows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtainedPerform other duties as assigned.Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Software, Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.This is a senior level position requiring 5+ years of embedded experience.Experience with military or aerospace hi-reliability systems required.Experience with C and assembly programming.Experience with digital and analog control circuit design and embedded programming.Experience reading and creating electrical schematics.Experience creating Software Quality Assurance requirements and documentation.Understanding of Software Configuration Management practices and tools: git (preferred)Experience with Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Salary Range: $116,000 - $145,000 Annually
