Basic Qualifications
Requires a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position
ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) has an immediate opening for an Advanced Hardware Engineerto join us in our San Jose, CA location. This position provides an opportunity to further advance cutting-edge technologies that support some of our nations core defense/intelligence services and systems. GDMS employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.

Experience in our core technical discipline of RF signal collection & analysis systemsExperience with RF system design and tradeoffs, including antennas, and RF lab equipmentExperience with server configuration (hardware selection and Linux configuration) and networkingExperience with DSP, signal analysis, and communication protocolsExperience with FPGA development, particularly with DSP applicationsCross-discipline experience, including software (Matlab and C++), hardware integration, system integration & testEffective written & oral communicator, including strong skills in development of customer presentationsPassionate about designing & building high-quality systemsAbility to work in project teams of highly talented technologistsWhat sets you apart:
