The Slate/ CRM (Customer Relationship Management) Senior Analyst will serve as the lead technical resource and provide system administration for the Vermont State University's (VTSU) instance of Slate (CRM). VTSU is part of the Vermont State Colleges System (VSCS). This includes maintaining functionality of the system, ensuring data integrity, providing institutional reporting needs, and providing support to Slate Captains/power users. This position will coordinate projects and upgrades to meet VTSU and VSCS goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESServe as application lead, by managing enhancement projects associated with this system for all power users within the university.Serve as project manager for all VTSU Slate projects.Manage user access, roles, permissions, and realms.Coordinate the approval of the creation of new fields, prompts, and translations as needed by individual units.Collaborate with key offices and personnel across VTSU and the VSCS on implementing and using the Slate CRM system.Coordinate the implementation of all new initiatives and work with functional leads to ensure that any development across the various units does not encroach or negatively impact existing functions.Complete work requests as assigned, including assisting in creating forms, developing workflows, population maintenance relating to portals, communications, dataset uploads, queries, and reports.Provide technical support and coordinate training for Slate CRM power users.Stay current with and evaluate new features or opportunities within the Slate CRM system to help meet operational goals.Provide consulting assistance to power users to address operational needs; research viable solutions and make recommendations based on assessment; suggest, design, test, implement, and evaluate solutions.Maintain the data field mapping document for the Slate CRM system's connection with the VSC's ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system and all connected systems, and work with IT (Information Technology) Shared Services to ensure the data bridge is working with any updates.Be responsible for performance maintenance and assessing automation and efficiency in the Slate environment.Ensure the system complies with VSCs data retention policies and security standards.Escalate issues and risks to colleagues within IT Shared Services, as needed. Works to resolve system issues.Handle multiple assignments successfully while meeting deadlines and maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.Assist with special projects and activities as needed.Maintain a commitment to diversity and inclusion in day-to-day interactions.Perform other job-related duties as assigned.SUPERVSION RECEIVED

This position will report to the Director of Enterprise Applications of IT Shared Services.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in data analytics, information systems, marketing, communication, or a related field or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.Minimum of three years of experience administering a CRM.PREFERRED Qualifications

Two or more years of professional experience in higher education or related field with a focus on marketing, recruitment, or admissions.Experience administering Technolutions Slate CRM.KNOWLEGDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

Knowledge:

Proven experience in administering a CRM.Proven experience in training and supporting functional areas in the use of a CRM.Strong understanding of admissions business processes and interdependencies with other functional areas.Functional awareness of higher education business processes.Experience optimizing CRM through use of HTML, SQL, and Java.Skills:

Broad base of technical and problems solving skills.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Excellent organizational skills and ability to simplify complex processes.Strong web analytics skills.Skilled in applying quantitative and qualitative analysis to digital strategy.Abilities:

Demonstrated ability to support a diverse community and promote diverse perspectives, cultures, and an inclusive environment.Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of university and system constituents.Demonstrated ability to understand technical interdependencies with other university systems.

Location:

This position can be on any Vermont State University campus, hybrid, or remote.
