Position Summary
This position is responsible for planning, monitoring, and directly coordinating pharmacy storeroom staff in the safe, effective, and cost-effective acquisition of drugs within University Hospitals.
Essential FunctionsProcurement and restocking of drug products within the hospital and individual pharmaciesProcessing of all associated invoices and credits.Maintain orderliness of pharmacy storeroom area.Utilization of electronic systems for ordering and receiving.Required For All Jobs
Performs other duties as assigned.Complies with all policies and standards.For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.Qualifications:Education
High School Equivalent / GED RequiredBachelor's Degree PreferredWork Experience
5+ years hospital pharmacy experience required with emphasis on computerized pharmacy systems, such as Omnicell Cabinets and Carousel, Pharmacy Procurement and invoicing systems. RequiredInventory / storeroom management experience RequiredPrevious pharmacy supply chain experience with a working 340B knowledge PreferredKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Good communication skills essential. RequiredKnowledge of computerized pharmacy ordering and distribution systems. RequiredProven track record in effectively utilizing inventory management systems like Omnicell, Pyxis, or comparable platforms, ensuring efficient stock control and replenishment processes PreferredStrong record keeping abilities. RequiredMicrosoft Excel, Word, and Access experience RequiredProficient in Epic utilization PreferredLicenses and Certifications
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) and Ohio Board of Pharmacy Registered RequiredPhysical Demands
