This position ensures that all configuration items are properly managed, documented, and audited, contributing to the overall quality and reliability of IT products and services. The Configuration Management Specialist supports IT operations through the integration of Agile development methodology and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) operational processes. This role ensures that products are developed and maintained in a controlled and consistent manner, which is crucial for quality and reliability. Key Responsibilities:+ Configuration Identification: Establishing and maintaining the configuration of a product, including hardware, software, and documentation.+ Change Management: Managing changes to the configuration items, ensuring that all changes are documented and approved.+ Configuration Status Accounting: Recording and reporting the status of configuration items and any changes made to them.+ Configuration Audits: Conducting audits to verify that the configuration items conform to their specifications and that changes have been properly implemented.+ Documentation: Maintaining and updating configuration management plans, policies, procedures, and tools.+ Compliance: Ensuring that configuration management processes comply with industry standards and regulations.+ Support: Providing technical support for configuration management activities and training new engineers on configuration management processes.**Here's what you need:**+ Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.+ Experience with Agile development methodology and ITIL operational processes.+ Strong understanding of configuration management principles and practices.+ Excellent documentation and communication skills.+ US Citizenship Required.+ Secret clearance or the ability to obtain required.**Preferred Skills:**+ Certification in ITIL or Agile methodologies.+ Experience with configuration management tools and software.+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.+ Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.+ Previous experience in a similar role within a government or defense environment.**_Location: Onsite in Ft Detrick, MD_**As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of **California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia** . The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience.
