About the Position:This position is responsible for the driving brand awareness and sales in a specified region and/or at specific retail partner locations. The Territory Manager is responsible for building and fostering relationships with key stakeholders of all levels within their designated territory, leading educational and inspirational meetings and presentations, and acting as a brand champion at our partner's brick and mortar locations.
What Success Looks Like!Customer satisfaction with the sell through of all product placements resulting in sales goal achievement.
What's Expected (include but not limited to):Research, network, build, and foster impactful relationships with key stakeholders at all levels within designated territories. This may include relationship building with:o Business owners/Presidents/CEOs and other c-suite executives
o Regional Operations Managers
o Learning & Development teams
o Merchandising and buying groups
o Store Management
o Retail Sales Associates
Develop and maintain the most up-to-date product knowledgeConduct high-level marketing & sales presentations and/or seminars for various audiences at our retail partner locations or at BEDGEAR corporate locationsConduct individual one-on-one hands-on training, sparring, and coaching with RSAActs as a liaison between retail partners and BEDGEAR in new business opportunities and proposals; aids in the development of contract negotiations, closes sales, and assists with the development of marketing plans for designated accountsDevelops and increases sales revenue to achieve assigned targetsChecks on competitive activity and provides recommendations for improvement opportunities to maintain competitive advantage in the marketplace and within physical store locationsParticipate as brand champion at company tradeshows and/or marketing events at request of management to promote awareness of company and productsMaintain call reports and provide performance feedback from storesProvide visual merchandising compliance reports for store visits, events, etc. Includes but is not limited to:o Take pictures of POP/Display items during in-store visits
o Provide recommendations for merchandising opportunities
o Evaluate competition floor space compared to ours and provide insights to account management and sales managers
o Identify open spaces for marketing collateral opportunities; i.e. Blank walls for posters/banners, windows for treatments, etc
o Updating SharePoint with reports after store visits
Maintain a remote, self-maintained home office location for when not traveling on the roadAssist in additional duties as requestedQualifications/Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age or olderHS Diploma or GEDMust be legally authorized to work in the United States and have IDs needed to verifyEnglish proficient (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension)Must have dependable personal vehicle with credible insurance coverage and valid driver's licenseComputer savvy; proficient with Microsoft OfficeMust have a valid passportTravel required at least 75% of timeAbility and willingness to work weekends and major retail holidaysEducation/Experience/License Requirements:
2+ years marketing and/or sales experience (or combination of the two) with notable sales accomplishmentsHome furnishings/retail mattress experience is highly preferredExperience working remotely/autonomously at timesProven ability to development meaningful relationships with key influencersExperience delivering engaging and impactful marketing & sales presentations to groups of all sizes
