Position Summary:We are seeking an experienced Staff Software Engineer to enhance our team capabilities on delivering key experiences for our Catalog Platform team. An ideal candidate is well versed in Full Stack technologies, has good knowledge collaborating closely with product managers and technical architects supporting our catalog platform. Additionally, you will be responsible to lead and mentor the tech team through the requirements gathering, design, development, and deployment.What you'll do:Design and deliver software solutions that are scalable, secure, and maintainable, using technologies that are aligned with Walmart's technology strategy and architecture roadmap.Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and other technology teams to understand business requirements and develop solution designs that meet the needs of our business.Facilitate alignment and clarity across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines.Provide technical leadership on high-impact projects, mentoring and influencing other engineers in the team.Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to other software engineers to ensure that solutions are of high quality and meet Walmart's technical standards.Learn new and changing technologies and adapt to ensure best software practices and standards.Interact with Walmart engineering teams across geographies to leverage expertise and contribute to the tech community.What you’ll bring:8+ years of strong programming skills in Java/Python for building services, and SQL/No-SQL.Strong understanding of software architecture and design, including microservices, service-oriented architecture, and event-driven architecture.Expertise in back-end stack (Java, Python, NodeJS, and Microservices knowledge).Experience with big data technologies, such as Hadoop, Hive or Spark.Experience with DevOps practices, particularly CI/CD, to support effective development and deployment processes.Ability to perform in a team environment, while multitasking between several different requirements and features concurrently.Great analytical skills with a good problem-solving attitude with strong technical writing, verbal communication, and presentation skills.About Walmart Global Tech:Imagine working in an environment where one line of code can make life easier for hundreds of millions of people.
