Position Overview:

The Software Product Manager will be responsible for the product planning, development, and marketing of software products throughout the product lifecycle. This includes gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, and marketing to ensure that revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of software development processes and be able to translate market and customer needs into actionable product roadmaps.

Key Responsibilities:

Product strategy development:

Define the product vision and strategy based on market research, customer feedback, and business goals.

Product lifecycle management:

Manage the entire product lifecycle from concept to launch, including planning, development, release, and enhancements.

Market and customer research:

Conduct market analysis and gather insights from customers, competitors, and industry trends to identify opportunities for product development.

Product roadmap creation:

Develop and maintain the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with company goals and priorities. Communicate the roadmap to stakeholders.

Cross-functional collaboration:

Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to ensure successful product development, launch, and marketing.

Feature definition:

Define and prioritize product features and requirements, ensuring they meet customer needs and business objectives.

User experience focus:

Ensure the product delivers a seamless, user-friendly experience, working with design and development teams to optimize usability.

Stakeholder management:

Collaborate with key stakeholders, including executives, clients, and partners, to gather feedback and align the product vision with business goals.

Release management:

Oversee the product release process, including beta testing, quality assurance, and post-launch performance monitoring.

Performance tracking:

Monitor key product performance metrics (KPIs) such as user engagement, customer satisfaction, and revenue, and make data-driven decisions for product improvements.

Risk management:

Identify and mitigate product-related risks throughout the development process.

Documentation and training:

Provide product documentation and assist in the creation of training materials for internal teams and end-users.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business, or a related field (MBA preferred).

5+ years of experience in software product management, with a proven track record of successfully managing software products from concept to launch.

Strong technical background with an understanding of software development processes (Agile, Scrum).

Experience with product management tools such as JIRA, Trello, or similar platforms.

Ability to translate customer needs into product features and technical requirements.

Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Strong analytical skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Experience in user experience (UX) design principles and customer-centric product development.
