We build long-lasting relationships.We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and professional engineer who will be responsible for the design, implementation and support of the Texas Capital Bank networking infrastructure. This covers all aspects of networking - including on-prem to cloud technologies.This position requires a strong understanding of network technologies. The job provides the opportunity to be a key part of a team that will be delivering those networks, infrastructure, and services for a world-class bank.ResponsibilitiesSupport Palo Alto firewalls in a multi-context environment, including cloud deployments in AWS/AzureProvide routing and switching support and configuration in a Cisco Nexus and ASR environment utilizing BGPMaintains and updates network infrastructure including but not limited to Cisco Nexus switches, Cisco’s ISE, Cisco Viptella SD-WAN, F5 load balancers, Cisco Wireless Access points and wireless LAN controllers, CloudFlare, ThousandEyesMonitor and analyze network performance and provide reports on a regular basisPrepares and follows detailed documentation, standards and guidelines for data network systemsTakes corrective action to improve data network performance; travels to off-site locations to perform related work as requiredProvide assistance and knowledge transfer to various IT departments on data networkingResponds to escalated situations and lead effective troubleshooting during production outagesParticipate in on-call rotation for Level 1/2 support for escalations of production issuesMust be able to work nights and/or weekends for implementations as needed.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree preferred with 12+ years of data network support experience requiredExpert level knowledge of Palo Alto multi-context firewall environmentsExpert level knowledge with Cisco Nexus switch design and implementation, including vPCStrong knowledge of Cisco NX-OS and IOS command line configurationStrong knowledge configuring and supporting LTM and GTM F5 load-balancersStrong knowledge in Cloud network technologies – Azure and AWSExperience with Virtualization technologies – VMWare and NSX-TData Center design experience regarding DR and failover testingExperience with CloudFlare, or other DDoS/CDN system is a plusWorking knowledge of the interoperability of voice systemsFlexibility in schedule and willingness to provide after-hours support when necessaryAbility to write detailed documentation around processes, procedures and day to day activitiesAbility to independently work on projects to completionMust be able to minimize downtime by rapidly diagnosing and resolving problemsExcellent customer service and communication skillsMaintain a high level of teamwork and communication across various IT groupsProvide assistance and knowledge transfer to various IT departments regarding data networksTexas Capital is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
