CNC Sheet Metal Cutting Machine ProgrammerPosition is eligible for a $1,500 signing bonus.SummaryThis position is responsible for programming Prescott’s cutting machines and press brakes (Amada Laser Punch combination, Amada Ensis Laser, Amada Punch, and Amada ATC Press Brakes), using SolidWorks CAD software and Amada camming software.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Use SolidWorks CAD software to optimize design using customer supplied drawings/models.Develop flat patterns to be used in the camming process.Verify incoming work orders for accuracy.Assist customers with design improvements.Provide detailed build drawings to production floor as required.Assist production with design and tooling issues.Manage change requests from customers and floor personnel and maintain controlled documentation.Review peer drawings and programs for accuracy.Miscellaneous duties as assigned to help Prescot Metal/EAM achieve its goals.Minimum Qualifications:Associate degree or technical school certificate in related field of study.Minimum of 3 years of SolidWorks CAD experience.Experience and/or knowledge of metal fabrication.Three years of programming experience in a manufacturing environment.Technical skills to support position including Microsoft Excel.Physical Demands/Work Conditions:Normally seated with freedom of movement on a regular basis, operating office machines and handling light materials and supplies.Normal exposure to office environment and occasional exposure to production/manufacturing environment subject to dust, metal shavings, machinery oil, and powder coating.Ability to lift to 25 lbs.May spend extended periods operating desktop computer, requiring hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity; and communicating face-to-face, on the telephone and in writing.Periodic physical activity requires walking, climbing, bending, standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and stooping.Required Personal Protective Equipment:Safety glasses and approved footwear when on the production floor.
