Under the general direction of the Director of HR Technology, Quality and Reliability, the HRIS Manager is responsible for strategic leadership, planning, project management, and execution of all aspects of HR systems, process/outcome and metrics. Oversees primarily Workday and UKG Workforce Management. The HRIS Manager is responsible for collaborating with HR partners (i.e., Payroll, Finance, IT, HR Operations, Learning and Development, HRBP, HR Compliance, Talent Acquisition and Total Rewards) and outside vendors to develop, lead, and support efficient and automated workflows. Providing technical expertise and knowledge transfer for effective administration, optimization and continued implementation of Workday and UKG. Manages governance protocols, supports ongoing training and user acceptance, assists with reporting capabilities, dashboards and discovery boards. Oversees HRIS Budget for all related expenses.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Human Resources, or related field
Five (5) years of experience in human resources, payroll, and/or HRIS
Five (5) years of Workday and Kronos/UKG Workforce Management configuration experience designing and implementing complex HR Solutions
Prior Healthcare experience
Four (4) years of people management experience required
Knowledge of Workday Core HCM, Reporting, Business Processes, Security Administration configuration
Knowledge of UKG Workforce Management Time and Attendance, Attestation, Accruals, Leave, Advance Scheduling and Extension Modules
Proficient in Workday Calculated Fields and Condition Rules
Knowledge of all HR processes and terminology related to each HR Functional Area.
Strong customer orientation and sense of urgency in accomplishing time-sensitive tasks
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management ability
Advanced proficiency in Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other MS Applications
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
Strong knowledge of Human Resources employment law, labor laws, regulations, and best practices
Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of Federal, State, and Local human resources regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA, FLSA, ACA, etc.)
Intermediate knowledge of integrations and API
Practical experience with HR database administration, including payroll systems
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Should be able to adapt to communication style to suit different audiences and stakeholders.
Strong knowledge of HRIS database design, structure, functions, and processes, and experience with database tools
Must be self-motivated and customer focused
Experience in maintaining configuration of annual HR cyclical processes such as merit increases, performance management, changes in accruals bank, benefits plan and eligibility and open enrollment.
Strong understanding of Healthcare HR processes and data, including eligibility and enrollment rules, and benefit procedures to ensure correct implementation.
Occasional travel is required
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Business, Management, Human Resources, or related field
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an HRIS analyst role
Project management experience
Prior leadership experience in Human Resources
Previous Workday training, certifications and configuration experience
Previous UKG Workforce Management (Dimensions) training and configuration experience
Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as a Workday and UKG expert and liaison between Human Resources and our strategic partners (i.e., I.T, Finance, contractors, external vendors, various internal and external departments, and other stakeholders) to configure, test, troubleshoot, maintain Workday and UKG integrations and manage implementation projects
Partners with subject matter experts across all CWE Areas (e.g., HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Learning & Development, HR Business Partners and HR Compliance) to simplify and optimize processes, reduce manual efforts, and enhance business capabilities
Finds solutions to payroll errors because of incorrect data accuracy and transactions in the HR side
Oversees and maintains optimal function of the organization’s internal HR information systems, which includes database management, network support, installation, customization, development, maintenance, and upgrades to applications, systems, and modules
Performs complex reporting functions, summaries, and logs within the organization’s HRIS and analyze complex data to advise the Director of HR Technology, Quality and Reliability, when appropriate
Monitors the Workday and UKG community for reported bugs, fixes, and new enhancements related to implemented modules
Oversees timekeeping, HCM operational functions and integrations
Implementation of data validation and conversion
Testing knowledge and capability to follow SJRMC IT documentation standards and change management
Provides Go-Live support and monitor successful post deployment period
Host meetings to facilitate requirement gathering, project management, follow up, design sessions, etc.
Reviews tasks and seek opportunities to refine processes in conjunction with the HRIS roadmap and the HR Leadership Team
Coordinates with the HR Leadership Team in implementing applications, updates and new modules
Understand requirement gathering and work with different teams asking key questions to make a project or ticket successful and completed
Provide and support training initiatives to increase SJRMC Workday and UKG knowledge and capability, to build a positive Workday and UKG culture
Designs user-friendly guidelines, training manuals, user guides, and documentation of HR business processes
Programs custom functions and documentation such as queries, filters, and macros
Ensure system compliance with data security, privacy requirements, artificial intelligence and machine learning
Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in data management and security, HR technology, and HRIS applications
Supports and inform of complex system configuration including calculated fields and condition rules
Supervises the day-to-day operations of our HR information systems
Supports the Director of IT Technology on policy matters related to HRIS
Oversees all system upgrades and system additions
Ensure all HR-related systems are compliant with data protection laws in all states where SJRMC has the right to do business
Collaborate with the Director of HR Technology and HR caregivers to identify the needed improvements and enhancements to existing information services and databases; recommend and deploy solutions
Direct and manage file feeds and integrations between HR systems, vendors, other applications, servers, etc.
Manage relationships with I.T. providers, consultants, and vendor representatives
Advocates for the needs of the HR Departments to move the organization forward
Striving to enhance and optimize HRIS System capability to improve HR capability, efficiency, and the caregiver experience
Performs hands-on project management and tracks progress against planned timeline and deliverables to ensure a smooth integration
Provides support for integration errors, failures and warnings troubleshooting
Oversees timecards for the organization include but are not limited to time zones, pay rules, work rules, holidays, transaction assistant, manages ticket with support and business structure
Expertise in identifying areas of improvement, critical dependencies, and process changes that enable the practice to attain integrated outcomes that are effective, efficient, sustainable, and improve customer satisfaction
Assist with other HRIS systems (i.e., HealthStream, etc.)
