The RoleThe North American ICT Operations Director is responsible for overseeing and managing all IT operations within North America. This role includes ensuring the alignment of IT strategy with business objectives, optimizing the performance of IT systems, leading a team of IT professionals, and implementing technology solutions that drive secure operational efficiency and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Execution:Develop and implement IT strategies and initiatives that align with the regional business goals. Collaborate with senior management to identify and prioritize IT projects. Ensure the regional IT strategy aligns with the overall global IT strategy.
Team Leadership and Management:Lead, mentor, and manage a team of IT professionals, including IT managers, system administrators, and support staff. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the IT team. Conduct performance evaluations and provide professional development opportunities.
IT Operations Management:Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department, ensuring systems and networks operate efficiently and securely. Implement and maintain IT policies, procedures, and best practices. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Project Management:Plan, execute, and oversee IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Technology Innovation and Implementation:Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to improve business processes and drive innovation. Oversee the implementation and integration of new systems and applications. Ensure the continuous improvement of existing IT systems.
Security and Risk Management:Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect company data and systems. Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify and mitigate potential IT risks. Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Vendor and Budget Management:Manage relationships with external IT vendors and service providers. Develop and manage the regional IT budget, ensuring cost control and financial efficiency.
Basic Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in information technology or equivalent.
Previous
hands-on
technical experience within IT infrastructure domains.
In-depth knowledge of AWS and Azure, networking modules, and software integration.
Knowledge of computer hardware and networking systems.
Previous Fortinet experience – desirable.
Familiarity with programming languages, operating systems, and Office software.
Project management skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to see big-picture designs from basic specifications.
Ability to problem solve complex IT issues.

In-depth knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and cybersecurity.

CompensationThe current range for this role based out of Aliso Viejo, CA is $180,000/yr. to $230,000/yr. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
