This position reports to the Senior Contracts Manager and is responsible for completing the monthly/quarterly State contract reports. This position also provides analysis of all contracts on a monthly and quarterly basis on expense trends, service earning trends, and cost per child averages. The Analyst also handles the invoicing process associated with the State and Catalyst school district subcontract on a monthly or quarterly basis.Essential Job Functions:Prepares contract reporting to the State and School Districts on a monthly or quarterly basis in accordance with the closing schedule and contracts terms and conditions.Collaborates with other key personnel to complete pulling the enrollment/attendance reports from the system and applying data to internal reports (9400s contract files/reports) during month-end process.Provides support to accounting/finance in reconciliation between contracts data and accounting/finance reporting and year-end closing.Ensures all data are accurate pertaining to the different contracts, and reports are prepared timely and disseminated to the external parties.With direction and guidance from the Senior Contracts Manager, analyzes contracts earning, and identifies opportunities to ensure the contracts funds are being earned properly.Reviews contracts calculations statements received from the State to ensure data matched with internal reported data, and contracts earnings projections are as expected.Reviews and documents contract issues related to trending contract reserve accounts, school districts contracts, and State contracts P&Ls.Compiles and prepares data for the annual Continuing Funding Application (CFA) project.Updates the master contracts file and other trackers for Catalyst and disseminates to the management and other key personnel as needed.Responsible for managing all tracking of various types of funds.Updates contracts spending vs. budget for migrant’s startup/shutdown and support contracts on a monthly basis and disseminates to personnel associated with these funding.Assists in preparation of contract documents from the files/records as required for State audits and business reviews.Maintains accurate and up-to-date files and analysis reports for all contracts.Answers basic questions from State and School Districts regarding the reports submitted to them.Works with contract management team in the execution of back-end contract support during month-end, quarterly, and year-end close.Provides other data to management for reporting to other internal and external stakeholders.Performs other duties as assigned.Supports other projects as needed.Education and Experience:Education:Associate’s degree or equivalent experience required.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration highly preferred.Experience:Minimum 3 years' relevant experience working in contracts administration or accounting/financial analysis capacity.Other Qualifications:Ability to learn and understand Funding Terms and Conditions in relation to contracts within a short period of time.Solid analytical skills to understand State level contract accounting terminology guidelines rules and regulations as outlined in the State Guidelines.Strong working knowledge of Excel and reporting software.Strong analytical skills.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey financial and accounting information as it relates to contract funding terms and conditions.Ability to complete work assignments accurately and timely, while always focusing on accomplishing the goal.Ability to develop sound, thought-out solutions to problems.Sense of urgency and comfort working in a fast-paced environment with a variety of simultaneous projects.Strong attention to detail and process orientation.Ability to build strong relationships with people internal and external to the organization.Shift Type:
Temporary (up to 6 months with potential to extend) Full Time, Exempt, In Office 5 days a week.Compensation:
