Senior Business Analyst - Marketing Analytics
plays a crucial role in helping marketers improve the efficiency of their Marketing strategies and supporting them in making better data-driven decisions.This role will be responsible for deep dive analysis, experimentation, quantitative campaign support, and marketing efficiency measurement. In addition, you will have the opportunity to work with partners across Marketing on data-driven campaign design, execution, and optimization in support of the continual improvement of our Marketing efforts.You will craft media measurement frameworks, set up high-quality tests, create audience samples, and build reports and dashboards. You will be responsible for extracting data from multiple sources, analyzing, and communicating findings.The successful candidate should be comfortable performing the following: gathering requirements from internal customers, writing queries in SQL, building Power BI dashboards, running A/B tests, developing analytical visualizations, educating partners on the findings, and providing concrete insights. The candidate will be passionate about data and possess a heightened level of attention to detail.Location:This role is approved to be fully remote and can be based anywhere in the United States.Responsibilities:Conduct analytical experiments (including A/B tests and geo lift studies) for both online (paid and owned media) and offline/non-digital (traditional media, store/branch) Marketing initiatives.Utilize your expertise in SQL programming language to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various databases and data sources.Build multifaceted reports and Power BI dashboards using data modeling and analysis techniques to uncover insights that will guide strategic decisions and reveal optimization opportunities.Work with partners to set up tests to measure the relationship between variables to better understand what website interactions, journeys and marketing tactics are most or least influential to business objectives.Scope out Business Analytics needs, define data structures needed for reporting, locate data sources, and identify solutions for data automation.Analyze cross-channel, customer, and transactional data to determine the value of Marketing efforts across all trackable customer touchpoints, both online and offline.Conduct quantitative campaign performance analysis and make optimization recommendations.Leverage industry standard processes in the visual display of information to design and layout visual elements of reports and dashboards, making them easily consumable and interpretable by non-technical audiences.Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field such as Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or similar.4+ years shown experience solving ambitious, high-impact problems with data.Expert-level skills in writing complex SQL queries for data retrieval and analysis.Proficiency with Power BI. Strong knowledge of DAX.Familiarity with database management systems (DBMS) and data warehousing concepts.Expert knowledge of Excel.Prior experience with Python is a plus.Experience developing predictive models is a plus.Prior experience with Google Analytics, UTM tracking, or other web analytics data is a plus.Possess a heightened level of attention to detail.Possess excellent organizational, writing, and analytical skills.At Ferguson, we care for each other.
