Position SummaryWe are seeking strategic and analytical minded, collaborative, and purpose driven colleagues who will drive the integrated insights, base analysis, forecasting, performance tracking and monitoring to inform decision making for our end-to-end strategies for Petcare business; focused on the assigned therapeutic area (TA). You will be a critical enabler for our organization, across all channels to oversee the build out and deployment of a robust insight and business intelligence strategy while ensuring constant alignment with TA objectives and considering external and internal dynamics. You will work across the Portfolio Growth Team in collaboration with Data & Digital Solutions, Independent Petcare and Corporate, Specialty and Channel teams to drive the business forward.Position ResponsibilitiesTrack performance to key business objectives and proactively identify areas requiring analysis and refinement of strategy.Deliver on the full forecasting effort for the TA; Increase accuracy of financial and demand forecasts.Lead efforts to consolidate information across a variety of data sources including market research, industry trends, sales data, advanced analytics, account deep dives and marketing metrics to create a holistic view of performance drivers.Drive data-driven concepts to support business decision making and works with DDS team on predictive analytics that highlight opportunities for product penetration, market share growth and sales optimization.Works across all Petcare units (PGS, Independent, C&S and Channel) to bring integrated view of performance, integrated insights and business intelligence.Identify and quantify drivers of current and future sales performance.Understand the scale and scope of future revenue and investment opportunities.Provide insights and secondary data analysis to support the strategic plans and product P&L, such as modeling different forecast scenarios to optimize launch execution.Leverage cross species experience, knowledge and understanding to add value through insight and advice built on a platform of excellent research.Be a strategic partner with Commercial leaders to:
Synthesize insights into actionable, strategic implications thus facilitating strategic decision-making in achievement of key performance goals.Lead/secure the development of insights and help shape strategy to ensure targeting and penetration of high-value customer segment.Support execution of commercial development and lifecycle management strategies through fact-based insights, strategic thinking, and trust of partners.
Foster an environment where feedback is open, ongoing and consistent.Education and ExperienceBachelor's in engineering, computer science or equivalent is strongly preferred, MBA or advanced degree a plus.8+ years of related business intelligence and/or business analytics experience.Understanding of marketing measurement and insights.Excellent project management and time management skills.Forecasting experience in a related industry.Strong written and interpersonal communication.Forecasting experience and expertise.Technical Skills and RequirementsAbility to translate business objectives and brand strategy into analytical functions and consumer-centric engagement tactics.Forecasting expertise.Strong communicator, able to work directly, frequently, with numerous teams to execute these tactics successfully against business goals, with ability to drive initiatives across multiple stakeholders to achieve goal.Data-driven mindset and organized, fast-moving, adaptable.Demonstrated knowledge of organizational acumen and working in a matrix organization.Experience working with cross-functional teams in developing and executing customer strategies, programs and tactics to achieve and surpass organizational goals.Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Strong oral, written and interpersonal communications skills; strong negotiation/persuasion skills.Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Tableau preferred.Ability to exercise good judgment and make thoughtful, fair decisions based on relevant info.Ability to interact with/influence Sr. Management and peers with confidence and conviction.Experience in strategy and analytics, whether within industry or in consulting.Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.Preferred but not required:MBA or other post-graduate degree.Experience in the animal health, human health, or other related space.Proficiency with quantitative languages and tools including SQL (or another advanced programming language such as R, C++, etc.).PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTSPosition is based in Parsippany, NJ.Travel requirement: variable, approximately 10%.Base Pay Range:
