The Director of Distribution for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for leading Beckman Coulters largest global Distribution center to outstanding performance.

This position is part of the

Americas Logistics and Distribution Team and will be in Cincinnati, OH/Hebron, KY.

You will be a part of the Logistics and Distribution Americas Leadership Team and report to the Senior Director Logistics and Distribution, Americas. Reporting to this position will be a team including Value Stream Managers, Supervisor Maintenance, Procurement, Analytics. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Build and communicate the facility vision, strategies, and objectives for the team and foster a culture of accountability, engagement, quality, and customer satisfaction in a Lean environment.

Facilitate strategic cross-functional collaboration with Transportation, Operations, Quality and Customer Service to ensure team alignment and execute strategic planning initiatives (i.e.: S&OP)

Lead the DC management staff to ensure key performance indicator (+QDIP) objectives are met, including adequately staffing and properly training resources.

Mentor the DC Value Stream Managers (VSM’s) and the site leadership team, enforce systems, policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and productivity standards.

Grow DBS culture through deployment of the Lean Tool Kit, Certified Practitioner funnel, Kaizen funnel and Visual Daily Management program.

Manage the site P&L and budget for all controllable expenses related to the operation.

Establish and promote a best-in-class safety culture at the distribution center.

The essential requirements of the job include:

Bachelor’s degree in business or related field with 14+ years’ experience in a logistics/distribution environment or a Master’s degree with 12+ years logistics and distribution experience, with 4+ years of management/leadership.

Proven experience driving continuous improvement through Lean, Six Sigma, DBS methodologies in an operations environment; as well as experience in ISO 9001, ISO 14385, CAPA process.

Previous P&L management responsibility with deep understanding and ability to convey financial information/budgets to develop strategies to achieve financial targets.

Experience building/presenting data driven business cases using appropriate analytical tools and techniques to all levels of the organization.

Ability to influence and lead dynamic presentations to all levels of the organization with effective coaching and mentoring skills.

Experience leading cross functional teams through high impact change.

Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Data visualization (MS Power BI or similar), Oracle and WMS skills.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Experience with change management in a global matrixed organization.

Public speaking and presentation skills.
