DescriptionProvides learning support and wellness services to medical students during all phases of the medical education curriculum. Reports directly to the Director of Academic Support within the Tilman J. Fertitta Family College of Medicine.Manages medical student academic support needs to ensure the Office of Academic Support in the Tilman J. Fertitta Family College of Medicine provides quality service.Provides individual academic support, guidance and consultation to students and acts as a mentor for students.Supports the preparation and facilitation of all wellness programs and events hosted by the Medical Student Wellness Committee.Promotes the student experience through advocacy and academic support. Works collaboratively to build relationships with faculty and staff to enhance learning and campus climate inside and outside of the classroom.May plan and facilitate workshops, conferences, and seminars for students.Assist the college with developing, implementing, and monitoring academic support initiatives and programs.Serves as liaison with external constituents to ensure compliance and provide guidance to college and departments on both University and College of Medicine policies and procedures.Prepares reports related to department annual research efforts and retention initiatives.Performs other job-related duties as required.Manages medical student academic support needs to ensure the Office of Academic Support in the Tilman J. QualificationsMasters and 5 years experienceEducation: Requires application of advanced principles, techniques and theory in a professional discipline or a thorough general business management knowledge. Knowledge of this level typically obtained through a directly job-related Master's degree or equivalent formal training in a recognized field of specialization that is directly related to the type of work being performed.Experience: Requires a minimum of five (5) years of directly job-related experience.Certification/Licensing: None.Salary
:
