As the Men’s Footwear Director, North America Direct Merchandising, you will be responsible for setting the Men’s Lifestyle Footwear Product Merchandising strategy, grounded in consumer insights and inclusive of business expectations.WHAT YOU WILL WORK ONAs a key member of the North America Men’s Lifestyle Merch Leadership team, you will bring a long-term lifestyle footwear vision to life via Consumer-led Product Plans and Assortment frameworks. You will lead your team through the key moments of line planning, merchandising assortment review, and Geo sample review. You will maintain direct feedback loops with the Geo Marketplace and Nike Direct Merchandising and Global Merchandising leaders to ensure Geo input is incorporated at each key moment.YOUR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE:Line Planning
Influence Global on future line planning, delivering specific Geo consumer needs.Builds & delivers FW seasonal line plans (incorporating franchise & classification excellence, pricing and tiering, Global marketplace capacity, and financial health), leveraging an Assortment Framework.Integrates FW, APP, and ACC line plans to create head-to-toe CFOP line plans.
Assortment Creation
Ensures assortment strategy is comprised of an end-in-mind Must-Buy List (minimum viable) and delivers Lead, Play, Adopt, and Access assortments, including Concepts and key looks.Aligns with other Field of Play merchandising leaders on x-consumer topics and strategies and x-Field of Play.Thinks End-in-mind, strategically creating marketplace distinction leveraging Lead/Play/adopt frameworks and account mapping.Inspires excellence through partnership and collaboration, managing and leading through change.Grows and develops talent within the Merchandising function.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITHYou will be working very closely with your Nike Direct cross functional teams: Planning, Nike Direct Merchandising, Marketplace Merchandising, Global Merchandising, Brand, and Cross Gender Counterparts.KEY PARTNERS INCLUDE:Brand MarketingNike Direct and Marketplace MerchandisingDemand PlanningMen’s Lifestyle GMWHAT YOU BRINGSkills and experiences needed for successful candidates:QUALIFICATIONS:Requires a Bachelor’s degree or combination of relevant education, experience, and training.At least 10 years experience in merchandising and/or product creation.Footwear, apparel and/or equipment merchandising experience.Management Experience.Consumer Industry and Insights Competence.Strong Retail Acumen.Ability to translate Insights and Retail Results into Actionable Strategies and Plans.Experience developing and implementing Product Strategy.Experience in multi-season Assortment Planning and Pricing.Cross functional Leadership and Partnership.Obtain a keen understanding of the Nike consumer and marketplace.Ability to display Product Expertise.Willing to travel 10-20% of the time.NIKE, Inc. is committed to employing a diverse workforce.
