THE POSITIONThe Operations Support Specialist position is responsible for expertly handling key operations related programs and projects and serving as the support liaison for assigned functional areas within the company. This role is a detailed, hands-on position that ensures the company maintains compliance with Federal DOT regulations, manages and coordinates purchasing of fixed asset needs, and initiates process improvements.To be successful as an Operations Support Specialist at LandCare, you should have excellent communication, organization, and prioritization skills, as well as the drive to problem solve to create a great employee experience.WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?Support dedicated branch teams with all areas of operations program maintenance, training, and educationOversee end to end fleet management programs which include:Providing reports containing compliance data, monitoring, scheduling installation and providing reports on GPS unitsMaintaining accurate Fuel Card data, resolve PIN discrepancies and run audits against driversMaintaining, organizing, and coordinating accurate driver documentation, including MVR records, educate and train branch teams on proper compliance protocolAssisting in coordination of all DOT annual inspections, maintaining, and submitting documents for FMCSA requirementDevelop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies to help reduce expenses and improve efficiencyMonitor and forecast upcoming levels of demandPerform cost and scenario analysis while partnering with reliable vendors and suppliersSupport the annual asset audit process by developing tools and resources to analyze compliance results and develop an action plan for reconciliationAssists with other various administrative tasks and special projects as requiredQUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE2-year degree in business or related field or 3+ years of experience in business office with related responsibilitiesExpert level verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, organization and planning skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Excel and PowerPoint)Qualified candidates must be able to successfully pass a criminal background checkBENEFITSBesides the great team environment and the ability to work outside, we also have a strong benefits package for our team members:Competitive base salaryTeam based profit sharing program401K for all employees with 3.5% company matchCompany-provided vehicleMedical, dental, and vision coveragePaid Time Off Policy + 9 corporate holidaysFormal training and development programs2-year degree in business or related field or 3+ years of experience in business office with related responsibilitiesExpert level verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, organization and planning skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Excel and PowerPoint)Qualified candidates must be able to successfully pass a criminal background checkBesides the great team environment, we also have a strong benefits package for our team members:Competitive base salaryTeam based profit sharing program401K for all employees with 3.5% company matchCompany-provided vehicleMedical, dental, and vision coveragePaid Time Off Policy + 9 corporate holidaysFormal training and development program
