PHONE: (630) 963-3033 | FAX: (630) 963-3170Client looking to add a Benefit Analyst to their growing Health and Benefits Department. This position can be filled by someone on an actuarial track or also fine for someone not on an actuarial exam track. Ideal location would be Seattle, but can also consider California and/or Hawaii as well.Responsibilities:
Review health plan statistical, financial reports and other specialized reports as needed.Prepare periodic client reports on plan operations/performance including annual budget projections of income, expenses and plan reserves.Calculate projected plan costs for self-insured coverages (i.e. medical, dental, prescription drug, and vision benefits).Calculate COBRA rates, other self-payment rates and required Employer Contribution rates.Determine the projected costs savings/cost of benefit or eligibility modifications.Coordinate receipt and review of insurance and service provider renewals.Prepare and review RFPs (insurance carriers or service providers).Draft and/or review of plan comparisons, participant notices, Summary Plan Descriptions, Plan Documents and amendments.Assist in compliance and regulatory reporting requirements.Qualifications:
Looking for at least 3 years of experience working in a similar role/industry. Can be actuarial or non-actuarial.Experience working in the healthcare industry either with an insurance company or an employee benefits consulting firm.Strong research and data analysis skills.
