Description
Mabbett & Associates, Inc. (Mabbett), an award-winning and industry leading environmental, health and safety (EH&S) consulting and engineering firm, is seeking a Senior Environmental Compliance Project Manager. Mabbett provides consulting services to a wide variety of clients, including those in the healthcare, biotechnology, research and development industries, as well as federal agencies and academia.
Responsibilities
This position will provide technical and client management support, including but not limited to:
Environmental compliance auditing
On-site environmental compliance services at client sites
Training program development and delivery
Regulatory agency submittals, including environmental permits and environmental reporting such as Tier II, Form R/Form S, Source Registration, etc.
Hazardous materials and waste management
Air emissions permitting, tracking and reporting
Environmental Compliance program development and implementation for various clients
Project management
Business development
Supervising and mentoring staff
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in occupational health, or a related field such as environmental science, engineering, chemistry, or biology.
Minimum of 5 years of professional, hands-on environmental compliance experience. Prior consulting and project management experience is desired.
Experience conducting environmental compliance audits.
Must have knowledge of environmental compliance regulations and programs.
Experience in healthcare, biotechnology, federal agencies and/or academia is a plus.
Must possess strong technical writing and communication skills; must be proficient in MS Excel (able to create, use and manipulate spreadsheets).
Professional certifications, such as Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Massachusetts Toxics Use Reduction Planner (TURP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or ISO 14001 Lead Auditor are a plus.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check, as well as a pre-employment physical and drug screen, to include cannabis.
Location
This is a hybrid position based out of our Alexandria, VA office.
