You’ll be responsible for daily decision-making and overseeing team management within the scope of this role. You’ll act as a crucial link between business teams, product owners and managers, and IT technical teams. You’ll employ a blend of business acumen and technical expertise to ensure clarity on project financials, delivery expectations, and scope alignment in the context of delivering complex commercial software, data, and AI applications and platforms. This role entails ownership of multiple functional areas, conducting business analysis, and leveraging deep knowledge of software and data center of excellence practices implemented by your leadership team.Here’s a summary of what Holland America is looking for in its Commercial Software Delivery Manager. Is this you?ResponsibilitiesOverseeing team management and leadership involves guiding business analysts and scrum masters in commercial software, product, data, and AI application development. Setting up clear expectations, offering constructive feedback, and nurturing professional growth. Monitoring team performance, resolving conflicts, and fostering cross-departmental collaboration are crucial for aligning project priorities with organizational goals.Effective stakeholder engagement and communication ensuring project success and alignment across business leadership, product owners, and IT technical teams. Maintaining regular and clear communication channels to facilitate understanding and consensus on project goals, priorities, and expectations.Roadmap execution with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to craft and refine detailed roadmaps for commercial software, data, and AI applications that align closely with business objectives.Meet project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Meticulous monitoring, proactive risk mitigation, and adherence to robust project management methodologies.Process Improvement and Efficiency with focus on identifying opportunities to streamline and enhance efficiency across commercial software development, data engineering, and AI application deployment.Improve Security and Compliance footprint, collaborate closely with corporate security to uphold software and application security protocols and standards.RequirementsAssociate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent experience.10+ years in managing Commercial D2C and B2B product and delivery teams, business analytics, software development teams.5+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, software delivery or related fields.5+ years in product management and project management roles.Experience leading and delivering complex commercial projects, including budget management and resource allocation.Understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Business Analysis, Scrum, Lean, DevOps) and modern technologies used in software delivery.Proven track record in product development, helping to design and deliver large-scale websites, mobile applications, marketing technology, and/or enterprise data and software solutions.Strong proficiency in process improvement, project management, and product lifecycle management.Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in managing cross-functional teams and complex commercial projects.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and technology partners.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple competing priorities effectively.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired.
