Group Overview:The Client Reporting Oversight (CRO) team within the Data & Regulatory Operations organization owns governance and oversight of client reporting functions including trade confirmations, product prospectuses, and client statements, ensuring they are generated and delivered in an accurate, timely and controlled manner while meeting regulatory and service requirements. Additional responsibilities include conducting the 17a-13 quarterly security counts.Position Overview:The Compliance Business Control Officer is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within their field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in their job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business, requiring basic commercial awareness. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required to guide, influence, and convince others, particularly colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. This role has a significant impact on the area through complex deliverables and provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business.Key Responsibilities:Support Governance and Oversight and control programs for Client Reporting Oversight including defining the strategy, approach, processes, quality, tools, and reporting that provide risk management consistency and excellence.Work closely with business partners on findings and make recommendations on improving practices.Support Control Design Projects and Issues through inception, execution, and closure, examining the Operations environment for existing controls, potential enhancements, or the need to develop new, more effective controls.Develop procedural implementation and change management processes with Operation teams to ensure proper governance and controls exist.Examine procedures for consistency and gaps relative to regulations and impacts on customer experience.Operate with a limited level of direct supervision.Lead Strategic Program Implementations.Act as SME to Client Reporting Oversight Manager, stakeholders, and/or other team members.Apply knowledge of the business, products, or services to identify and implement control points and processes throughout the business.Contribute to governance, management, coordination, and facilitation of the execution of the Manager Control Assessment (MCA, i.e., Risk & Control Self-Assessment) as required by the MCA Standard.Monitor and coordinate the identification, documentation, and remediation of issues and corrective action plans (CAPs).Assist Client Reporting management in exercising control over Operational and Compliance Risk in accordance with established Policy requirements.Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets.Manage existing EUCs, lead automation, and leverage tools and capabilities to ensure appropriate inventory management governance exists around the EUC.Assist in performing a detailed analysis on the identification of issue root causes, partnering with control and process owners to recommend holistic corrective actions and improvements.Create metrics, including gathering, reporting, and trend analysis.Manage multiple projects simultaneously.Qualifications:6-10 years relevant work experience in Business Risk & Controls.5+ years’ experience in financial services.Proficient in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, SQL.Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.Effective organizational influencing skills required.Excellent problem-solving skills with high attention to critical details.Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategy and process improvement initiatives.Knowledge of regulatory rules 10b-10, 606b-3, 17a-13 is a plus.Knowledge of client documentation, confirmations, statements, and prospectuses is a plus.Education:Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience.Job Family Group:
