ExemptRole Overview:
The CI Leader will oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of operational standards and Lean manufacturing principles to enhance customer satisfaction and achieve budgetary goals. Collaborate closely with regional and corporate teams to ensure alignment with company policies. This incumbent will support the day-to-day operations of the ERP system (SYSPRO) and other organizational databases. He/She will be responsible to communicate and coordinate with system and end users to diagnose and resolve end user reported problems (function and technical) in a timely manner to ensure the business continues to run smoothly. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading and implementing continuous improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma and Agile methodologies, supporting Green Belts in the development of their projects and sponsors and management in identifying and prioritizing the best opportunities for improvement. Through first-person practice, he/she will have the task of supporting the development of a mindset of continuous improvement in order to actively involve people in the efficiency of processes and in the achievement of company objectives.Areas of Responsibility:Organize
Defines continuous improvement targets together with the management staff and report performance against set operational objectives.Review the targeted area workflow process and lead the root cause analysis with team.Identify gaps based upon route cause analysis and present findings to leadership.Recommend optimized workflow and cell designs to improve cost, efficiency, and safety.Set up test workflow and cell designs, observe the work process and obtain feedback from employee(s) in the test environment.Provide leadership with the result of the tested process.Analyzes cost reduction potential; Accountable for settling and delivering budget results related to productivity/process improvements.Support modules within SYSPRO including custom and delivered programs.Provide coaching and guidance to SYSPRO Super Users for Sales, Purchasing, Planning, Logistics, Production and Finance teams. Identify areas of process improvement within these departments.Reports on KPIs for quality, productivity costs, and service delivery.Networks with internal/external resources to bring best practices to lean projects and the organization.Develops training materials for Lean processes and principles, provides education and mentoring to employees on Lean principles and techniques.Ensures open communication throughout the organization by keeping management informed of Project status and ensuring coordination of Lean activities.Manages the development and maintenance of methods and systems for measuring the Project goals, objectives and metrics are being met and maintained.Lead the implementation of Lean programs from inception to completion.Provides input and feedback to key leaders.People
Engages with the leadership team in setting and achieving goals utilizing Lean initiatives.Leads the implementation of Lean programs from inception to completion.Manages the planning and completion of Lean projects to support cost reduction objectives.Provides input and feedback to key leadership positions about process improvement opportunities.Other duties as assigned.Requirements:Education & Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering or related field.At least three years' experience gained in medium-sized manufacturing companies or in consulting companies engaged in continuous improvement processes.Experience in the implementation of the main continuous improvement methodologies applied to the management of complex projects.Certifications, Licenses, Credentials:
Lean Six Sigma.Black Belt certification is required.Skills & Ability:
Problem solving.Leadership, mentoring and change management skills.Ability to analyze complex manufacturing data and propose changes leading to higher efficiency and safety.Ability to accurately assess key business metrics and situations.Ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.Ability to create and provide presentations supporting findings to team.Strong analytical and technical skills.Excellent MS office Word, Excel and Power Point skills.Physical Requirements:
Ability to navigate office, lab, and/or plant floor working environments.Standard office environment without unpleasant or hazardous conditions. Physical demands involved in office work such as the ability to talk, hear, use hands to handle and feel; work on a computer up to 7 hours a day; close vision required for computer usage.Must have the ability to wear applicable personal protective equipment utilized at this site, including safety glasses/goggles, hairnets, lab coats, gloves and safety shoes.Work Environment:
Work is regularly performed inside a manufacturing environment where temperatures can be moderate, exposure to dust, odors, noise, and fumes. The noise level is usually moderate.
