Sustainability and innovation are at the heart of all of our sectors which, in North America include Advisory, Built Environment, Energy, Transportation, and Water.Mott MacDonald is looking for an experienced Principal Project Manager/Account Leader with at least 15 years of experience in water and wastewater infrastructure projects to join our Tampa, FL or Orlando, FL team. In this role, you will serve as the Principal Account Leader on large, complex projects and lead the technical development of proposals.

The position offers excellent potential for professional growth and the opportunity to collaborate not only with water resources personnel, but with our many practices including dams, geotechnical, energy, and transportation. The qualified candidate must have strong leadership and program management experience and direct business development experience during their career, with the ability to generate project leads, build client relationships, and win work.

Responsibilities are as follows:Serve as project manager on large and complex projects with multi-discipline project teamsServe as project principal, supervising less experienced project managers on smaller less complex projectsSupervise and direct preparation of planning studies, evaluations, and feasibility studies for water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure projectsSupervise and direct preparation of plans and specifications for new facilities and rehabilitation of existing facilitiesSupervise and direct construction engineering support services.Lead the technical development of proposalsServe as account leader responsible for creating and growing relationships with one or more clientsWe invite applications from candidates with the following experience:Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Environmental or similar)Licensed as a Professional Engineer in Florida15+ years total experience in planning, design, and construction management of water, and wastewater infrastructure projects for major utility clients.

Experience with municipalities around the Tampa, Orlando, or I-4 corridor preferred.
