Job ID: 2802167 | Amazon Web Services, Inc.We're looking for a Marketing Program Manager to work on key global campaigns. You should be able to demonstrate the ability to work backwards, starting with customers, stakeholders, and any related team owners. You work to understand their needs/problem(s) and you incorporate their context into campaign planning and workback timelines. You define and clarify campaign processes and requirements and use those to drive productive discussions and reach consensus. You understand campaign or program content at a high level, enough to participate constructively in planning and optimization discussions. You identify roadblocks, drive the resolution of problems, and either manage their resolution or ensure a clear hand-off to the right owner. You make sure each campaign or program has measures of success (Q: How do you know your project is on track? How do you know it saves money? How do you know the outcome is acceptable? How do you know your customers are satisfied?).

Key job responsibilities

Learn the business needs and/or workflows involved in your campaigns or programs.Manage and escalate project risks, and establish success metrics for projects and ensure performance is tracked and measured.Negotiate process improvements and needed features (and their priority), distinguishing between important and urgent.Establish milestones and drive sensible deadlines. You manage project communications and may serve as the first point of contact between agencies and stakeholders related to content development and related milestones.Ensure the right information about the state of a project is delivered to the right audience at the right time (e.g., status reports, metrics reports, etc.).Articulate scope, timeline, owners, risks, and the steps to mitigate those risks at each stage.Question and look for process improvements to each campaign or program.Engagement with cross-border stakeholders and work within in a global team across time-zones.Anticipate and be able to mitigate problems as they arise while ensuring updates on progress, relevant delays and budget implications are communicated to stakeholders.Invent and simplify processes and the use of system tooling to support efficient collaboration, campaign planning, resource tracking and creative review/approvals.Author program/campaign playbooks to educate teams on process improvements and workstreams.Raise the quality bar and foster continual process improvements through routine post mortems and collaborative feedback with cross-functional partners.

A day in the life

Every day is different as a Marketing Program Manager. You’ll work both independently and collaboratively on projects, which may be at different stages of the project lifecycle, from development to delivery. You will collaborate with other teams, track project progress, and share updates with key stakeholders. You will be checking the daily health of a campaign or program’s progress from development to delivery in Workfront. You will be communicating regularly with creative agencies on content development and quality. You will be opening tickets for different tasks and workstreams.

The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience.Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs.Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements.Experience with a project management tool, like Workfront or Asana.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Engagement with cross-border stakeholders and work within in a global team across time-zones.Superior verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively with multiple teams and external organization.Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement document.
