Government Affairs Manager - Political Programming & Operations LeadThe Government Affairs Manager-Political Programming & Ops Lead supports the U.S. Government Affairs (GA) department overseeing day-to-day operational and administrative functions of the office. This includes providing executive support for the Head of U.S. Government Affairs, leading team-wide organizational projects, compliance and regulatory requirements for the Company’s Political Action Committee (“PAC”) and for lobbying disclosures.The Manager is responsible for day-to-day activities of the PAC including grassroots network maintenance, contribution disbursement, Federal Election Commission and state reporting, budgeting, and PAC Board governance. The Manager will work with the Government Affairs team to implement the internal processes related to PAC regulatory compliance. The Manager will also coordinate the completion of Federal local lobbying disclosure documents, registration and reporting for the U.S. Government Affairs team.This position works to ensure smooth operations of the department such as coordinating calendars, travel arrangements and expense reports, managing internal and external inquiries into the GA department, managing targeted external relationships, driving team collaboration and developing briefings and other materials. Scheduling support includes event planning for facility tours, site visits, and special events with elected/government officials, industry and regional associations and Siemens leadership.Duties and Responsibilities:Work directly with the Siemens Government Affairs team on day-to-day operations of the department including administrative support, PAC administration and lobbying disclosures.Government Affairs Operations & Executive SupportManage complex calendars while working closely with other executive level admins to ensure efficient flow of information.Maintain Department Event Calendar and work with U.S. headquarters administrative team for Government Affairs meetings, events and visits.Coordinate international and domestic travel plans and meeting activities.Research, compile and draft information for internal and external correspondence, briefings and reports/presentations and make recommendations. Prepare drafts from notes.Establish and maintain stakeholder database – internal and external.Monitor information flow for the department, including maintaining paper and electronic files as appropriate.Carry out special projects and assignments as requested.Coordinate and manage other administrative department duties as requested.Independently complete projects by gathering, organizing and summarizing information and preparing documents from general guidance.PAC & Political ProgrammingResponsible to support GA leadership for all aspects of PAC membership management.Manage intake, processing, and distribution of all federal and state disbursements.Coordinate with compliance consultant to ensure Federal Election Commission reports and State election commission reports are filed correctly and in a timely manner.Manage the PAC database and work with outside consultants to maintain data and follow best practices.Coordinate with Finance on payroll and payments processing.Assist with PAC budget development and support throughout the election cycle.Assist with preparation of materials for PAC board meetings and development of meeting minutes and other reports.Assist with industry benchmarking and analysis.Basic Requirements:8+ years of relevant experience.Bachelor’s degree in political science, Business, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or related field required; Advanced degree/or relevant work experience may be substituted.Prior experience in PAC Administration, including disbursements and compliance.8+ years experience of demonstrated programming and analytical skills for accurate database management.Capacity to set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and ability to multi-task.8+ years experience of demonstrated project management experience working with cross-functional teams across multiple disciplines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Must be authorized to work in the US without need of sponsorship now or in the future.Preferred Requirements:Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
