The Madison Local School District in Lake County Ohio is seeking applicants for the position of Superintendent. The successful candidate will possess the following experiences and skills:REQUIRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLSCurrent State of Ohio Superintendent licenseSuccessful experience as a public-school administratorEnthusiastic educational leadership abilities that support and promote educational excellence:Ability to engage the business community, village and township leaders, civic organizations, school support groups, and the community in promoting the district’s role and educational opportunities for studentsProven ability to develop and nurture effective professional working relationships with all school district employeesDemonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skillsKnowledge of Ohio school fundingEffective fiscal management skills including the ability to maximize available resourcesAbility to effectively use instructional technologyPREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLSSuccessful experience as an Ohio public school Superintendent or central office administratorSuccessful experience in collective bargainingSuccessful experience in facility management and business operationsSuccessful experience with strategic planning and executionCompensation and Employment Terms:The successful candidate will be offered a multi-year contract.
