Unit 3 - CFA - California Faculty Association, Tenured/Tenure-Track, Full Time, Faculty - EngineeringThe Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering Department in the College of Engineering at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California (Cal Poly) is excited to invite applications for a full-time, academic year, tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor rank beginning Fall 2025.The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and master's level courses, support and expand curricular development in industrial engineering, pursue research in one's area of expertise, and provide service to the department, the university, and the community. We are particularly seeking candidates with teaching and research interests in strategic engineering management of systems for energy, health, technology, services, or other industrial applications, including but not limited to areas such as: modeling, simulation, and analysis of sustainable and resilient systems; technology integration and management for Industry 4.0/5.0; engineering economics and change management; product development; industrial informatics for strategic data-driven decision-making; and integration of social and technical systems.Salary will be commensurate with education and experience of the individual selected. Qualified candidates with industry experience are encouraged to apply. The program has a strong focus on undergraduate and masters level education through a laboratory intensive, hands-on curriculum. The 30+ tenured, tenure-track, and lecturer/adjunct faculty in the department are dedicated engineers with a passion for teaching, innovative applied research, interacting with students, and advising student club activities.
